Primero Yerba Mate Set

The tea is great. I tried to find out how big the gourd was, no answer and when I got it I found out why. It was tiny and made cheaply. Can't get the inside to stop shedding. Very disappointed in product. Will never use this vendor again. Stay away from this person.

ok so right out of the box you could tell whomever packaged these didn't give a rat's butt about it. It was just wrapped in paper and the gourd came with a few dents on the metal parts. The mate itself is ok but not the best. the bombilla is eeehhh!!! there are far better mate sets out there for the same or just a little more.

This gourd package came as loose items in the box with paper stuffed around it. No individual box around the gourd or bombilia. This is good that there was little packaging but a little weary about shipping damage potential.The gourd has a few issues that caused met to rate at 3 stars. The dye used on the gourd comes off on your hands when it gets wet, as it will when you season it. This stained my hand and counter a few different times making me question whether to wax it or not. The silver bottom does not seal on the edges to the gourd allowing some water to get in. This makes me worry about it rotting underneath or eventually loosening and coming off. The silver rim does not seal around the inside of the gourd. The directions for seasoning say to fill gourd So filling it to the top allowed the water level inside to raise above the top level of the gourd inside the cap and leak down the side. this becomes a problem if you tip the gourd to far you could get spillage even before going over the lip.Other than that there were no cracks. I seasoned the gourd as directed and have since had a few Mates and enjoyed the experience. If you have never used one before the gourd will be as warm as the water poured into it so be mindful.

This mate is very nice. The gourd didn't crack after seasoning it. Worth every penny. I would recommend this product.

yes it came really quick, but what i got didnt look like what was shown, my gorde was so shoty the bottom metal piece came off after only a few uses there is no shine, in fact during the cure process it began to turn black

Whatever they use on this will dye your hand red on the first use. Then again on the second, third, fourth... need I go on. This thing is a pain in the butt. I made one in my ceramics class that is far better.
