Black and Decker Charger
The charger worked with the Black &DECKER battery I had and with the new one I had purchased separately.

Fast Charge
Bought this to replace the charger that came with my Black and Decker drill which shorted out after 5 years. This charger is 2-3 times faster in recharging batteries. Also has an indicator scale light showing progress so you don't overcharge a battery. The only thing I'd like to see added would be a cut off of charging once the battery is fully charged so as not to overcharge or waste electricity when charging overnight. Otherwise nice charger for the price.

Versatile Charger
I have an 18v Black and Decker pole chain saw for high branch trimming that I recently purchased 18 v lithium ion batteries for. I purchased this charger taking a chance that it would charge my new lithium ion batteries as well as the older NiCad batteries. It works perfectly. Brought both types of batteries to a full charge. The light indicators worked fine for both types of batteries. I am so glad this charger was available.
