3 mile line of sight, great for groups travel and off-road communication.
Used these walkie-talkies several quite a few times on road trips and off-roading. Work as they should. At least 3miles line of sight. Gets a bit choppy after that, but might be the hilly terrain blocking the signal. Decent battery life too. Just ordered another set for larger group outings.

Great for communication between someone who is bedbound
I ordered these so that I could get ahold of my mom without having to holler. I am bedbound and my mom is my care taker and these walkie talkies work great. The battery lasts for quite a long time by turning it off each night when not using.
