TL-SG108PE - The Networking tool you need for a small PoE network!
Some context: I'm a System Administrator and also a handyman. Currently renovating my basement and needed ethernet. TL;DRL Got the job done, not using the smart switch capabilities as I have no need for it right now. Was able to utilize PoE for 2 access points and a camera, other ethernet ports were gigabit ready. Plug your uplink (cable from router / switch) and then plug whatever else you want to it, and you will get ethernet. Versatile Port Configuration: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports on this switch offer incredible versatility. I was able to connect various devices, including PCs, gaming consoles, and streaming devices, without breaking a sweat. Great PoE switch
Great PoE switch, it was really easy to install and is working perfectly. I bought it to replace a Netgear 5 port switch I had before. My main reason was that I needed PoE switches to turn on VoIP devices this one was the best option. Price was good and it comes with 4 PoE ports. It has Metal construction and the size and design is perfect for small spaces. I mounted it on a wall and looks great. It is a lite managed switch that will allow you to set vlan a s QoS but is limited. Even though it has 64 W for all ports and 30 W max per port is more than capable to power up 4 IP phones. All are gigabit ports. I bought a used one and it came in the original box.

Perfect for Home Office
I purchased this to replace a NETGEAR switch that was lacking advanced features needed for my home network upgrade: 1. POE+ on 4 ports - Needed to power a new POE+ desktop access point. Worked perfectly. 30W per port (64 W across all 4 ports) was more than adequate. 2. Better VLAN capabilities. Will support all of my needs for network segmentation / isolation using OPNsense. Would recommend to anyone looking to do something similar. It is fanless and runs very cool. I don't feel any warmth at all from the metal chassis. This is not an Omada product, but it does everything I need.

Solid 1gb switch
Solid switch. This provides poe power for my wifi access point and works very well. The management works as expected. One small gripe with that is the fact that the admin interface is not https. It would be nice to have a encrypted session to change things in the management portal. The http portal is not a deal breaker but it would be nice to see it as an option. I understand that this is not an enterprise switch. The price-tag is also not that of an enterprise switch. Overall this is a good 1gbe managed switch for a soho or homelab.

Performs great, basic VLAN management
I got this to experiment with VLANs and upgrade our home network to be more robust and secure. If you're willing to tinker, this is definitely worth the money. It's fast and has two features I needed, POE and VLAN support. I've been using it over a year, and have had no issues with it. I use it to power a Unifi AP over POE, and the AP powered up immediately on plugging it in to one of the four POE ports. I just had to configure it in the Unifi management console and it worked. Later, I added additional wireless SSIDs with VLANs to separate networks by function. This required a bit of research to get the 802.1q settings right, because they don't tell you much of anything about how to set it up. But once I figured out how to set it, it is actually very simple. I the attached image, port 3 has the Unifi AP and port 8 connects to a pfSense firewall. In my setup, you have to configure the VLANs in 3 places (pfSense, Unifi, and this switch) so it's the VLAN IDs that make them work together. More work, less money, but it works fine. I would recommend this if you want a GB switch with POE and don't care about VLAN settings, since it is really simple to plug-and-play in that case. Also recommended if you want a managed switch and don't mind having to configure the VLAN settings manually, and would rather save the money vs. buying a switch that is fully integrated with a management console like Unifi or Omada.

Enterprise features at a SOHO price, sturdy metal housing with wall-mounting slots
My mother lives in one of those sprawling rambler houses that has been added onto by various people over the years and the result is a challenging WiFi environment as no matter where the router is, there are a lot of walls and things between the router and somewhere. I ended up getting a pair of older enterprise grade mesh access points and then needed a gigabit switch supporting POE for the backbone. I went with this after scouring reviews as it ticked all the boxes and seemed to offer a good value. So far I've been impressed, it's a managed switch that allows me to set up multiple VLANs and assign specific ports to them and some other handy features that I don't typically see outside of corporate environments. Installation was painless and it has been up and running for several months now without any issues at all. The only complaint I have is that while the switch itself has mounting slots in the bottom enabling it to be mounted to the wall, the separate AC adapter does not. I ended up having to use a pair of those zip ties that have screw holes in the end to attach the power brick to the wall near the switch so it wouldn't be dangling on the garage floor. Other than that this is a solid switch that just quietly sits there doing exactly what a switch is supposed to do, I have not had to go over there and play IT guy even once since I set it up.

A Great Omada Network Managed Switch
Works really well when part of a tp-link Omada controlled network headed up with a tp-link router. Can be used plug and play, but is designed to be used to control a network via VLANs. VLANs allow a network to be segregated into separate information conduits for security. Setup separate admin, IoT, guest and a camera VLANs to keep nosey hardware away from your personal stuff. The “P” in the model number advertises its POE capabilities. A less expensive but equally great switch without POE is available from to-link.

8 ports of Set and Forget
Just love this little switch for the Home office. Set and forget. Can get a little fancy with some programming, but it works, and works great. Having POE on two ports is fantastic.

Excelente producto
