Great bang for the buck!
This monitor does a good job! We would easily buy them again. The Good: --They seem to be quite accurate and consistent --Display is easy and clear to read --The unit is versatile to display (either by magnetic back for vertical metal or with a "kick-out" like a picture frame on flat surfaces) --It records the low/high temp and humidity over 36 hours The Bad: --This is a MILD complaint, but it would be great to keep the high/low over a week instead of 36 hours. Clarification: some reviews are saying it keeps the low/high for 24 hours, but that is not accurate. According to the manufacturer, it updates the low/high every 12 hours for 36 hours...so if it's been running for at least 36 hours, you will see the low/high over the past 36 hours continually. It updates every 12 hours from the moment it is turned on. So if you turn it on (a.k.a. insert batteries) at 5am, it will update the low/highs at 5pm, then again at 5am the next day, and 5pm the next day, and so on.

Good bang for the buck and accurate from 1 unit to the next
I have purchased 4 and am pleased with the purchase. Relatively inexpensive. I was curious about the variability between units and found that they were very much in line with each other, which is terrific. To determine variability between units, I placed all 4 next to each other and left them idle for a couple of hours, after which they were all within +/-1 % humidity of each other and +/-1 degree each other. That seemed good to me given the relative low price of these units. Temperature also aligned with two other thermometers I had in the room. I can't speak to absolute accuracy of the humidity detector, as I have no other way to measure humidity. Only slight knock against this is that the rating for the humidity ("low", "ok" or "high") appears random. Sometimes something like 53% will be deemed low, sometimes high, sometimes OK - all with the same temperature. Perhaps there's something I'm missing, but I don't know what it is. I simply ignore it because I don't need it to tell me what's good, but it's kind of annoying. Still, it wouldn't stop me from purchasing more.

Easy to read, fast and accurate.
These were purchased to check humidity in a couple of areas we have lots of books stored in. I have a large wall-type unit with temp, pressure, humidity gauges, plus a indoor/outdoor digital unit from LaCross. These units are accurate, matching exactly with my office units when in the same room. So, I know that where I place them, I am getting accurate humidity and temperature readings. And, unlike most temp/humidity units, the humidity is the large number on top, making it easy to read at a glance. The humidity gauge is very fast, stabilizing in just a few seconds when moved from one area to another. If you are using dehumidifiers in any part of your home or business, this is a great addition to help control humidity and monitor the use of the dehumidifiers to control energy costs. For those who are interested, the units also store and display min/max values for both humidity and temperature. The units were shipped quickly and well packaged. They use a standard AA battery, which should last a long time between changes.

These work Great. Very compact
These work Great. Very compact, has all the right information. The only downside is with the High's and Lows. The device only records those every 36hrs or so says the manual. This is probably so its always monitoring the Highs and Lows of a certain block of time. I wish this was configurable, and also showed when the high was recorded. Would be much more helpful.

Medium quality due to size of some readings
Product works as expected - seems to be quite accurate though no way to check for sure. If you are buying it to see the temperature as well as humidity the temperature reading is quite small compared to humidity reading. Multiple methods for setting it up are easy.

Terrific Product for the Price
I now have four of these in different rooms of my house. Then I regulate the central thermostat to the desired temperature range for the room where the thermostat is located. I then manually adjust the registers in each room to reduce or increase the air flow so that the desired temperature for that room is obtained. These monitors are also great for monitoring humidity levels. I can adjust the water flow into my central humidifier (attached to the furnace) in the winter to keep adequate moisture (about 40% humidity in my case) in the air. In the summer, I set my two dehumidifiers (one for each level in my house) at the desired humidity (50% in my case). I also put one in my mother's room at her assisted living facility. This helped me to alert the caregivers and building operations manager when the temperature became too hot or too cold. I also was able to alert the ops manager last week when the humidity level had fallen too low (27%). He has notified his corporate contact and they are now working on getting a humidifier for the furnace.

These are excellent meters!
Very high quality and 5 star customer service. I own 6 Caliber III humidity meters. Ordered an AcuRite on a friends recommendation. When it arrived I checked it against my Calibers. It read 16% high! I contacted the company and asked it it could be calibrated. They said no, and had me re-do the reboot. I explained that I had six meters telling me the reading was off and those meters were within 2% of each other. They sent me a new meter. Did not ask me to return the old one. Long story short. the new one read the same as the first one,. So, I bought a "Boveda" pack and tested them all. The AcuRites are spot on. All of the Calibers were off, and by app. the same amount. I owe AcuRitre an apology, and a meter. Sending them $$ would probably screw up their accounting, so I bought 2 more meters and will recommend them highly.
