I have put nearly 2,000 miles on this set across all kinds of weather and road conditions, and they are still holding up remarkably well. I bought 25mm version fenders for 28x700 tires on Specialized Roubaix SL-4. the fender mounts don't secure well as purchased, but by adding 2 tie straps to each mount, I now have rock solid attachments to the bike. I found that achieving the fender's ideal spacing ABOVE the tire (from a side viewpoint), CENTERING the fender to contain all of the tire's splash was a challenge. It is important to experiment. this experimenting includes trimming the 'spoke-like' fender pieces that align the fenders into proper positioning. I used robust electrical wire cutters, but Nip Cutters would have been easier on my hands. I recommend trimming in gradual increments. the end goal is for the fender not rub against the tire, AND for riding safety, the fenders must not be able to be bumped out of aligned position so much that the front fender strikes the bike's down tube ... (this happened to me once after several months of riding, and caused the steering to be restricted to a permanent right turn! (that unexpected experience prompted buying the wire ties, and to limit any play by fine tuning i described above. mine are now so well positioned, and i will leave them attached to bike somewhat permanently. Fenders keep debris off my chain, and keep pavement grime, road oils off my back and shorts. (i've ruined clothes from rear tire wet pavement spray: permanently stained). If a28mm version was available , there would be greater latitude centering these fenders above 28mm tires. Note: 28 size is now acceptable & common on racing bikes, compared to 23mm or 25mm, 28 will absorb vibrations affecting handlebars and for the seat. A justifiable (& appreciated) compromise when considering any negligible speed impact. once fitted well, these fenders are fantastic. 5-STARS rating comes when fenders designed for 28mm (x 700c) can be purchased :) I'll buy them in a New York minute

I have several high end road bikes. None of them are setup to take fenders. After searching high and low I found these beauties. SKS really thought this product through with an eye on exotic carbon road bikes. SKS provided the mechanics to offer lots of adjustments so these fenders fit perfectly. Do take the time to use the provided allen wrench to get the fit "just right." SKS also provides clear protective tape to put on your frame to give you piece of mind that the paint is safe. Once adjusted, removing and re-installing the fenders are a snap. I love this product! If you have an expense road bike and need fenders - this SKS product is a must. [NOTE: BMC sells custom fenders for my urban bike for $180. I am so glad I got these instead. I sold a buddy on this product. He now has a set on his Specialized Diverge gravel bike.]

These are the best fenders for bikes without fender brackets. I commune on a Specialized Langster and last winter used "Planet Bike SpeedEZ Road Fenders", which I threw away at the end of winter. These SKS fit great, are sturdy, and doesn't clank around. Take note, these aren't "full" wheel fenders but are total protection from road water. I question the need for full fenders after using these. It takes a minute to adjust the many adjustments on these bad boys but not hard at all to figure out. If you're looking for a good quality fender then you've come to the right place. These are a great buy!

Update 8/2021: I’ve gotten a lot of use out of these and they are truly great. They go on and come off easy so I can just toss em on when it’s wet out and.. you get it. I have yet to actually use these, but I can tell they will be great. The installation and adjustments are far superior to the planet bike fenders in a similar price range. I owned the planet bike ones for many years and put a lot of miles on em - BUT the adjustments were garbagio. SKS feel more stable and as mentioned, are far easier to adjust. Will update once I use in the field.

They work well, but watch the adjustment because they move easily. The front got stuck under the downtube causing my steering to jam once - easy to fix, but momentarily exciting. Upon hitting a large bump, the rear dove between my rear brake and tire putting the rear tire into a complete skid; also cooked a hole in the fender. SKS was super responsive and I've modified to ensure this won't happen in the future. I have other SKS fenders and generally happy with them, but keep an eye on the adjustment.

I ride a track bike so it doesnt have any fender holes on the seat stays and chain stays. These have a strong clamp mechanism and got me through snow and thunderstorms easy.

Looks good and not too hard to install. Search for video for installation and bam installed! No remove of rims and looks cool.

Auf der Suche nach schnell zu montierenden Schutzblechen für mein Pendlerrad (Cyclocross) habe ich mich nach recht umfangreicher Recherche in diversen Radforen schließlich für dieses Produkt entschieden. Nach mehrwöchiger Benutzung sowie einigen An- und Abmontagen möchte ich die Schutzbleche an dieser Stelle kurz rezensieren. Die knapp 400 g schweren Kunststoff-Schutzbleche passen laut Hersteller für Reifenbreiten von 25-32 mm, sind also vornehmlich für Renn- und Crossräder geeignet. Das Quick-Release-Befestigungssystem ist über zweigelenkig gelagerte und in der Länge verstellbare Metallstreben mit dem eigentlichen Blech verbunden. Die Montage erfolgt an den Hinterradstreben bzw. Gabelbeinen (Vorderrad) mit Hilfe elastischer Gummibandagen. Als Schutz gegen Lackschäden liegen den Blechen Lackschutzfolien bei; allerdings sind die Auflagepunkte mit relativ weichem Kunststoff versehen, so dass die Folie im Grunde obsolet ist. Die Einstellung/ Justage der Bleche erfolgt einserseits über eine Änderung der Strebenlänge (dadurch Regulierung des Abstandes zwischen Schutzblech und Rad) sowie über die zweigelenkige Verbindung (zur Anpassung an die Rahmengeometrie). Sowohl Strebenlängen als auch die Gelenkverbindung lassen sich durch Inbusschrauben fixieren. Während die Erstmontage und Einstellung noch ein wenig "Fummelarbeit" bedeutete, lassen sich die Schutzbleche nach einigen wenigen An- und Abmontagen mittlerweile in Sekundenschnelle anbringen. Der Sitz der Bleche ist bei entsprechender Einstellung, sowie nach korrekter Arretierung der Inbusschrauben und ausreichend festgezurrten Gummibandagen hervorragend. Lediglich bei holprigen Wald- und Schotterwegen in Verbindung mit hohen Geschwindigkeiten konnte ich bislang ein leichtes Verrutschen der Schutzbleche feststellen. Nützlich sind insbesondere die relativ langen Spritzlappen am Hinterradblech (vor allem bei Gruppenausfahrten dankt es einem der Hintermann), während die Spritzlappen am Vorderradblech mitunter die Füße streifen können, je nachdem, wie weit vorne der Fuß auf der Pedale steht. Fazit: ¯¯¯¯ Die einfache, schnelle und durchdachte Montage sowie die vielfältigen Einstellmöglichkeiten machen diese Renn- bzw. Crossradschutzbleche zu einem idealen Begleiter bei Regen und Matsch. Hier wird effektiver Spitzschutz zu einem fairen Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis angeboten. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

I didn't have to fiddle around too much installing it on my Cervelo with a 700c x 25. Although I haven't gone out yet, the spacing between the tires and the fenders is a very good fit. The mounting straps was just enough on the front fork and required a little adjustments. Looks great! Can't wait to take it out on wet day for a ride.

Really good product, they are made in Germany so of course they are! Easy to fit and adjust. Work great on my Road bike
