Miracles
This coat defense as powder and paste is incredible! It smells great and is easy to use. It truly works. I buy on repeat when its out. I've used the powder as dry shampoo. The paste I've used to cover hock sores from flys, for a summer sore and proud flesh. I can't recommend this enough as a staple in your tack bag!

Use on Dogs, livestock or Humans
I can't say enough about this product. I have used it many times on my dog for injuries he gets on his paws from time to time ( he has thin skinned paw pads) or other minor injuries and use it for my horse too as she lives in a herd so always getting bites or sometimes they come into contact with something more serious ( if it's out there, they find it somehow). Small injuries are almost gone the next day and use for allergic reactions too to calm the itch so they don't create hot spots. Recently went through this with my horse who had a reaction to a bug bite. She scratched herself in her chin area all under her head within 1 day. Tried other products which did not control the itch and it became worse. Remembered the Coat Defense. Within 1 day it was scabbing up and I could tell she was no longer itching. Healed right up. Now it's the first thing I reach for. They also make a paste which works great especially on horses, stays on longer and protects. I also use it on myself, safe for people.

Ordered two, one was open because packaging isn't secure, but...
From jump, things were disappointing. One of my horses had some rain rot, so I ordered two bottles. This product isn't cheap, so when my package arrived and one of the bottles was open in the shipping envelope and product was EVERYWHERE, well, losing twenty five dollars of product right off the bat left a bad taste in my mouth. The way this is packaged and shipped leaves a lot to be desired, especially since, given the product's ingredients, the profit margin on this has to be enormous. Perhaps some tape or shrink wrapping is in order? Out in the barn, this stuff pours fast, so you have to be very careful and precise with your application. Either the holes in the dispenser top need to be smaller, or a different container should be used. I taped off some of the holes because the bottles are very small and it's far too easy to over-pour, making unnecessary wastage a huge problem. You'll want to have a game plan in place to use this as efficiently as possible, and perhaps put this in a different container entirely for application. Having said everything about the packaging for shipping that's sorely lacking and the tiny, less than ideal product container the manufacturer is using to package the actual product, it does work. My horse had some fairly large patches, and within a few days, he was healing noticeably and had new hair popping up. Unfortunately, I needed that wasted bottled lost to a shipping disaster, and one bottle wasn't quite enough. (Once he started healing and I was able to bathe and dry him thoroughly, we didn't need the powder, so we made do.) Pros - It's effective. The powder is a less messy alternative than sticky or smelly products (MTG, I'm looking at you!), and it's great for those times when it's too cold or late to bathe. Simple ingredients. CONS: Very expensive. Containers are far too small for horses, much less barns with multiple horses. The packaging for shipping is non-existent, so failure of packaging in shipping is a legitimate concern. The product packaging isn't great for application. There's not enough product for the intended audience: horse people with multiple horses who want to keep this on-hand in their barn. There don't appear to be any proprietary ingredients, so it may be worth your while to collect ingredients individually and make your own if you have multiple horses. While I love the powder formula, can attest unequivocally to its effectiveness, and how easy it is to use to treat rain rot, I wouldn't purchase again unless I found it deeply discounted and could insure it would reach me intact. It turned out to not be a good value for me personally due to packaging fails, overall cost, and far too small amount of product vs expense. I have a barn full of seven of my own horses but can't afford to keep this on hand. A bulk option at a discounted price would prompt me to reconsider, though!

Easy to use!
The best for rain rot. My poor boy had really resistant rain rot on his backside. This helped it clear right up! Easy to use!

Miracle Product
When my horse would sweat, hair behind his ears and in his armpits would get moist. I noticed that bacteria had started to grow so I purchased and this product. I sprinkled it in those areas and all is well. The bacteria dried up right away and I just use it now as a preventative measure. It also smells nice.

Great for drying off sweaty horse
My horse has a thick winter coat. When there is not enough sunlight left in the day for him to dry naturally after exercise, I have been using this and it is a lifesaver!
