Yes, "for the price". As with all my reviews, I want to qualify "what it is" vs. "what it isn't" so that potential buyers can put it in a frame of reference. What it is: Cheap, incredibly easy to assemble, solidly made. It'll last for a couple of years - enough for 2 or 3 kids to go on semi-regular bike rides. It's comfortable for one 3-year-old or two smaller kids. What it's not: Not made of heavy canvas or burlap, not going to last as a hand-me-down for three, five, ten families to use, not good for applications other than pavement, gravel or smooth packed earth. With the super-simplified hub assembly and plastic wheels, it's not likely to last you a million miles. Impressions: The wheels "snap in" to the hub assembly so there's no magic to this; there's no solid axle, no suspension, just two greased necks that slide in, 'lock in' to metal apertures, and that's it. The axle 'nub' is metal; but it's not going to have heavy wheel bearings. It assembles unbelievably easily, so while I am a fairly mechanically inclined person and work on my own cars, plumbing and HVAC, I was impressed how simple this would be for a non-mechanically-inclined person to assemble. I've taken about half a dozen rides with my 3-year-old son seated in the center in the back. Every time I make a 2-mile loop around the lake in the near-by city park, I get two to four comments/compliments from joggers with kids in strollers, other bikers, etc. One guy on a bike paced me and said that the trailer looked great and asked all about it - where I got it, how much it cost, how well it works. It's not cheap junk, so you can put that out of your mind. For $80 it's a steal; I paid about $20 more and that was easily worth it. However, the seating and sides are all plastic or polyester. Heavier kids will 'ride low' so if you go over rapid bumps or high roots, things you wouldn't really notice on a bike with 26" wheels, the kids could bump their bottoms. My son fits fine by himself, but when my daughter turns 1, it might be a bit of a squeeze to get a 1 year old and a 3 year old in there together. Realistically, I'm not sure I'd want to be dragging around something that's roomy for 2 kids anyway. Finally, based on the mechanical construction, I would surmise that this one is good for occasional rides for 2-3 families with 2-3 kids. At most. That depends, too, on how big the kids are that you're carrying around, and how the trailer is stored (outside vs. in a garage). I guess that means, I wouldn't really expect to get any more than 1000 miles out of it, maybe double that if the rides are primarily with smaller kids, over smoother surfaces, and the trailer is stored in a garage. Maybe I'm wrong. Who knows. My kids will probably retire before I actually accumulate 1,000 miles on my bike so... take it for what it's worth. Maybe this super-simplistic hub assembly will last longer than my old cars. :)

The best part about this trailer is the ease of assembly and use. It shouldn't take but 5-10 minutes to get the wheels on and everything snapped together for the canopy. I have only taken it out with the kid (11 months) once for about a 5 mile ride. The trailer really does coast easy over flat terrain, but you can really tell a difference once you start climbing a hill. This is expected though, based on weight of kid(s) in the trailer. The trailer itself is stealthy quiet, and the loudest thing on it is the flex spring where the trailer connects to the bike coupling when turning. The build quality isn't the absolute greatest, but you can tell it will last for awhile barring any user error or accidents. Keep in mind the tires are only suggested to be inflated to 25 PSIG. I read many reviews about people blowing tires while airing them up. I just left them alone entirely as they seemed to have plenty of pressure, and honestly the softer they are, the softer your kids ride will be. One of the nice aspects of this trailer is the cargo room in back to keep anything you might need for your kids, instead of having to carry a backpack, etc. MOST IMPORTANT: The kid loves riding in it. It's a totally enclosed trailer, so nothing goes in or out of it as long as the canopy is fastened shut. This makes it easy to keep track of toys or anything else you don't want to worry about losing during the ride. A lot of people in previous reviews complained about dirt and other debris being kicked up into the face of their kids. I'm not sure what kind of terrain or bike tires they were using, but my Trek track bike (w/ road tires) didn't kick up any dirt at all for the 5 mile test drive. Granted, we were on the neighborhood roads and main sidewalks for a majority of the ride through town. Another complaint I read was child overheating concerns, and while I believe we live in a hot part of the country, child overheating mainly has to do with speed of ride if ambient conditions are unfavorable. The trailer has provisions to keep the mesh cover down on the front and there is also a similar mesh on the back of the trailer that can be exposed. As long as you are keeping a fair speed in warmer climates I don't think overheating is much of an issue as the trailer provides adequate airflow while on the move. The biggest inconvenience for me was the bike coupling. My bike is newer (2013 Trek District S), so the standard coupling design didn't fit my "odd ball" frame near the hub. I had to use a file for about 20 minutes to grind out a section on the outer edge of the coupling so that one of the bolt hole protrusions in my bike frame would miss the coupling and fit flush for tightening. If I had an electric grinder and vice it would have probably been just a minute to get it how I wanted, but just didn't have the equipment required. This could be perceived as a con, but they can't design a coupling that will fit ALL bikes, so you go with the standard design. I would be nice if they had options for specialized couplings, but that wouldn't be feasible in the grand scheme of things since it would be considered a luxury for the minority. All in all for the price this trailer is a great buy even though I had to do my own "engineering" to make the coupling fit (I figured this would be a problem when I bought it based on other reviews). Very enjoyable and incredibly versatile for how simple the trailer is designed. Most of all I believe it will last a good amount of time provided you don't take your kids off-roading or joyriding through the BMX track.

We purchased two new bicycles for our anniversary this year and were on the hunt for a great way to allow our two children (2 and 5 yrs old) to accompany us on bicycle rides. Our 5 year old loves to ride along on her own bicycle but she can't keep up for any extended period of time, so longer rides were out unless we found something that would work for both children. We researched many bicycle seats and trailers and found this one to be a safe option and a great value for the money. Upon receiving the trailer, we were able to assemble it and attach it to my husband's bicycle in less than 15 minutes. It was super easy and also folds back up without a problem so we can get it in the back of our van and transport it to the park. The trailer is sturdy, even with both children inside, and while they don't have a whole lot of "wiggle room" it does allow ample space for both children. They love riding behind Daddy and even our 2 year old (who is a "complainer" in most strollers and the carseat) doesn't complain at all. I can't comment on how this trailer would handle on rough terrain because we mostly stick to paved paths, but on paved paths it handles without a problem and you barely know it's there (except up a few steeper hills, but that's to be expected). We have tried it out on a bit of grassy area and didn't have any problem with it there. Overall I can't think of any real complaints about this trailer and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

This is the perfect trailer for what most people use a bike trailer for.... casual riding, biking to a farmers market, using on vacation, etc. and for the price, you can't beat it! The InStep brand is actually made by Schwinn. The trailer was incredibly easy to set up. I literally took it out of the box, flipped up the sides, stuck the wheels on and it was practically ready to go. It has a good ventilation system and back vents to avoid the "parachute effect" when pulling it. The downsides are that it would be a tight fit for two children old enough to ride in a bike trailer (at least 1year old and always wearing a helmet!!), particularly on a hot day. But, I don't think that's a fault of the product so much as a reality of how much space is practical to have in a trailer made to fit on an average width sidewalk. It's nice that by adjusting the straps it can accommodate one child as well, and in that configuration there's lots of room. I gave it 4 stars just because I felt that the construction of the weather flap could have been done a little bit better. It's a very tight fit and I feel like where it snaps to the frame the material is under quite a bit of strain and might be prone to tearing around the snaps. We found though that if only the front and back snaps are snapped, it still fits on perfectly well and that alleviates some of the tension in the material.

I purchased two of these, one for each of two mountain bikes my wife and I ride. My moutain bikes are cheapie bikes (under $80.00) from Target -- and no offense to anyone that considers that caliber of bike "nice," -- but I know most people in my neighborhood spend at least 4-5x that on a bike. THAT being said -- install was a breeze, each of our bikes are different makes (Schwinn, and Mongoose). The unit comes out of the box easily, every clicks and snaps confidently into place and you're literally ready to ride with your little one(s) in under 10 minutes. I have a 35lb two year old and a 24lbs 1 year old -- both have ridden comfortably in one unit, and of course they ride comfortably in each of their own units. Turning while riding the bike is easy and this thing handles bumps/curbs really well and doesn't seem to slow me down. It's great exercise and quite frankly at first I couldn't even feel that it was attached, and I only had to downshift one or two gears at times to compensate for the extra weight. Full disclosure -- on the tire, it recommends no higher than 36psi. I inflated therefore to 36 psi, not reading the manual well enough where it says 20-25psi (max 25). One morning I went to get the kids ready to ride, and the tire was "flat" (the innertube was ruptured). I called the 800- number and they quickly answered, recommended I no longer fill past 25psi, and mailed me a new wheel, innertube, and tire within 3-10 business days. They were very polite and professional on the phone, they just needed the model info and date code that's on the base of the frame just inside the left wheel axle. Can't speak more highly of this company or this product, should get many years of fun out of it. --- Update: got my new wheel, innertube, and tire -- brand new from the company, all is good again -- came in 4 days from the phone call.

I was perusing Amazon for options to add a pair of inflatable stand up paddle board racks to this trailer, which triggered me to look at this trailer's page, which made me realize that I've owned this trailer for over 4 years. I bought it when my oldest daughter turned one and have used it for one kid, two kids, dogs, groceries, all sorts of stuff. It's never wowed me, but I didn't expect it to make it this long and honestly, I have no real complaints. If that's not worth 5 stars, I'm not sure what is. Pros: -Weight capacity is real, we're pushing 70 lbs between the two girls at this point with no guff from the trailer. We'll probably be pushing well over the limit with the iSUPs attached. -Minimal maintenance, I've added slime to the tires and that's about it. InStep recommends a 10mph max speed, pretty sure I've doubled that and then some. -Pretty durable, aside from the rip I put in the back sliding it around on the backside of the frame it's holding together great. -Quick and easy attachment, even on my fatbike it's ~15 seconds to put on once the attachment is installed on the bike. It has survived multiple bike tip overs without any issues. -Cheap, the price has gone up a bit since I bought and it's still well under the price of a used Burley. Cons: -Small wheels = heavier towing. I'm also not a fan of how they install, but I can't complain about how well they've worked. -Not bulletproof, as I mentioned I managed to rip the fabric on the back and one of the rods has punched through on the canopy. The flag has escaped too. Treat it well enough and this won't happen to you. I expected this would be the entry into trailers and we'd end up with a Burley before our kids grew out of it. Not the case, this will get them to the point that they can ride on their own. It's getting a bit long in the tooth, but that just means time to modify and strengthen. Great budget trailer, highly recommended.

I was a little worried when I bought this, because it was the least expensive product of its type on Amazon. However, once I assembled it, all my fears melted away. The most amazing thing about this product isn't its low price, but rather the engineering that went into this product. The product has an amazing design that makes it easy to assemble, safe, and good for use in a wide range of temperatures. Every last detail is engineered to amaze you. Assembly - Easy, it took me ten minutes to assemble, and five minutes to put the hardware on my bike. All the hardware that was needed is included, as well as the safety flag. Also, the product is designed to break down quickly and easily and completely folds into the base. The wheels are also easily removable (but very secure while in operation). It only takes about 30 seconds to attach or detach from a bike. Features - It easily fit our 2.5 year old and 6 month old. The product is designed for both single and dual children, as the dual restraints can be removed and one set can be centered with the product. Adjusting the restraints between different height levels takes all of three seconds. The canopy has elastic all along the sides, which makes it automatically get out of your way when you're loading and unloading. The canopy also has clear plastic windows (front and back) that stay out of the way for hot days to let air flow through, or on cold days or wet days you can close the plastic windows. Another great feature is the enclosed trunk space behind the seats, you can fit quite a bit in there for a family picnic. Safety - The product itself is a roll-cage on wheels. It comes with a safety flag and it has a reflector on the back (left side only). The mechanism that latches to the bike also has a fail-safe on it in case it breaks. This product is designed for two children up to 40 pounds each and has 5-point seat straps that adjust on three different levels. The negatives - There are very few negatives about this product. The lack of suspension might make for a little bit of a rough ride (although the kids are suspended in a fabric seat, which helps to ease this). The product when fully assembled is about 1/2 of an inch too wide for a standard doorway, which isn't too big of a deal because of how easily the wheels come off and the product collapses. Other thoughts - There's a version that costs a little bit more that has a stroller option that I'm glad I passed up on. This product is a great bike trailer, but I don't think I would want to use it as a stroller. Because of how wide it is, it wouldn't be very ideal for that kind of use. Pros: - Amazing design\engineering - Great value - Designed for one or two children - Easy to assemble and easily folds up when not in use - Great canopy with elastic sides and roll-down plastic windows - Several safety features - Came with all the needed hardware for my bike Cons: - No suspension (shock absorption comes from the fabric that your children hang in) - 1/2 inch too wide for a standard doorway This product in four words: Fantastically engineered family fun!

Better than expected. Come to the front door. Foldable, bike attachment easy to install, and great price. Ohther stores like Canadian tire or sport check had them way more expensive ( even the same brand). Better than and safer than the attachment that go on the seat like really it’s your kid. Also great way to put your kid to sleep every bike ride.

Great quality. Didnt take much to put together. Works great for getring around town. Has pockets inside and a small area behind the seat for storage. The seat however isnt really a seat, its just fabric with seat belts. If you have one kid, they go in the middle seat and you use the seat belts from the other two seats to strap them in.
