I need the programmability to be on hardware-level (not os level). so when i program the macros, they should just work for any machine i connect. yes?

Yes The programmer is needed on a single machine to configure the keys - but the binding are stored on the device I have moved the device between my 2 PCs, Laptops and Raspberry PIs without needing to install anything else.

Can you use and program 2 of the macro keyboards at the same time on 1 windows PC?

I bought this for my brother. He believes you can get two and they will work fine. You have to assign each of the keys so as long as each one does something different it will work.

could I programme one of the keys to launch call of duty?

You can make keys to launch Web addresses so if you run it through a browser definitely

Can I map a colour from the pallet in indesign for repetitive colouring of text

I don’t use indesign, but works for photoshop and illustrator so don’t see why not
