Keeps me cool in chill games
It does actually work... I've playing with it off and i've played with it on... It does indeed make a difference.. A slight one, but still one all the same - if it's a noticeable difference then it must be significant. You won't notice it so much if you're playing something like Blade & Sorcery, where you're exerting a lot of physical energy and sweating a lot, but you will notice it if you're just hanging around in VRChat or something chill... You gotta think about it like this - It's a giant mini computer with no fans hanging on the front of your face... Those 2 added fans do quite a bit to keep you cooler... It fits near perfect. I've never had any issues with it rattling, being loose, or falling out. It's decent quality. There is a slight hum that you can notice while it's on (I wear surround-sound headphones so mine might be more muffled than yours with the built-in speakers) but it just sounds like a distant AC unit sound running in the background of the game - it isnt really that disruptive, unless youre trying to hear a pin drop, or soft footsteps.

It works! Keeps my Index cool!
Long sessions with the Index can definitely start to warm up your eyeballs, so this is a fairly necessary accessory in my opinion. First thing I will say is that I wish it had been easier to install. The USB cord is understandably short, but I actually had to pull it a lot more than I was comfortable with in order to pop the fan piece in place. I can only imagine it will be equally difficult to remove, but fortunately I have no need or intention of removing it. Second note, the fan is not very loud at all. You will not hear it while playing. You will only feel the air moving if you place your hand right over it, but don't let the low power fool you. It will certainly remove the heat. I do wish there was an LED indicator to show when it's on or off. The power button is only slightly lower when it's on, so sometimes it can be difficult to tell, especially when the index is on your face. Regardless of any of my gripes, this is a must have for Index owners.

Solid fan, does job well, however breaks quickly with standard use.
As someone who uses vr far more than most, I certainly put this thing through its paces, and it works pretty well for the most part. Good airflow, kept the HMD nice and cool while doing more active things, not too loud. At least, it does all of these at first. I ended up buying three units because after a few months, one of the fans started making a hideous, loud grinding noise and I couldn't make it stop. This happened on all three.

An amazing mod for the Index, other reviews are too critical of this little guy.
For just $32, this little mod for the Valve Index is amazing. You noticeably stay much cooler on your face (and forehead for me personally), and the lenses barely fog whatsoever, really not at all. It took me no time at all to install this radiator to the front, and I'm not sure why people are having issues. It's a simple plug-and-play procedure. USB goes in, and the radiator slots right in afterwards. At first it may seem like the cable is too short, but once you press in the far side of the radiator, the whole thing follows and snaps right into place with no issues at all. The fans do have a whine to them, but with the headset on you don't really notice it, and it doesn't interfere with the mic either which is a huge bonus. To be honest, there really are no drawbacks to this, and for the price point it is more than worth it. It works exactly as intended, and really makes a difference if you've never had one before but have played VR for a long time in the past. If one reason you stop playing VR often is because of heat and exhaustion in your head region, this will let you go on for much longer. Definitely recommended.

could be a little stronger, but it manages to work amazing for it being silent.
I used to have a dual USB fan that i had to duct tape to the 2 front openings of the index to keep the headset cool. had it on for about a year and it was really tedious to tape everything back on and clean the dust off. i would always accidentally hurt my fingers from the fans when i tried to position my headset. also the fans were audible through the mic, i had friends complain to me about how loud my fans were because they were on the headset. But with this KIWI USB fan, its compact, quiet, it does a pretty darn good job to cool off the headset from getting too hot. Im honestly a huge FAN of this Valve index fan that easily clips on your headet. it is a little bit pricey, but its sooooo worth it when youd rather risk getting your headset over heated, or having your headset with little to no heat for hours and hours of VR gaming. i play alot of beatsaber, so this does a pretty good heckin job. the sweating part is still an issue tho. so no matter what physically active game you play, this fan wont help that. but it will help dissipate the heat from the headset no matter what game you play. 9.5/10

This will save your headset. No joke.
This goes where that awkward plastic plate is on your index. (Don't have that thing on, I know it looks 'cool' but it burns out your headset faster!) This one device easily snaps in and connects to your index. Blowing two micro fans on the processor directly to keep it cool. This ALSO helps keep sweat buildup in your lens from happening. You will feel the breeze on your eyes and the difference is SUPER noticeable when it's not on.

Easy to fit, good quality. it slots right in and keeps the face a little cooler, great for me as I used to get quite a sweaty face from using vr.

Genuinely it just works it is on the expensive side, but it's a slight breeze on your eyes + my headset doesn't feel like a microwave anymore
