IT WORKS FOR ME
I have now almost finished the first 3 pack I purchased, which has actually lasted around 4 and a half months. I was noticing that I was starting to recede at the temples so purchased this to try and get on top of it early. After 3 months I noticed a lot of hair coming through and my hairline looks a lot better. I will be buying more. Application is easy and takes around 30 seconds twice a day. Some people have said that it comes out quite liquidy. I recently took a holiday to a hot country and noticed I had this issue while away, it would kind of melt in my hands a bit, but if you like in the UK or another colder country then I don't think you will have this issue.

Be patient
Update - 19/10/2025 Still using this (once at night now) started taking oral minoxidil about 5 months ago too. Iโm happy with the outcome (2 new pictures added -front and back) and will continue on the journey, been using caffeine shampoo twice weekly and micro needling (0.5mm) every 10 days, not sure if all the things Iโm doing is needed but itโs not doing any harm. Iโm in my early 40โs now but noticed that I was in a losing battle with my hair when I was in my early 30โs, I got my last haircut in a barbers when I was 33. My head looked like a lollipop that had been dropped on a dirty carpet so I decided just to bite the bullet, accept baldness and start shaving it off myself. Anyway - Iโd heard of minoxidil (from watching the Simpsons) and had never given it much thought until 5 months ago when I started wondering what it would be like to have hair again so after some research I decided to give this a try. Does it work? I would say it definitely does work but itโs not a quick fix and Iโve accepted that I will need to use this forever if I want to keep/have hair. I shaved my head regularly for the first 3 months of use then let it grow for the past 2 months with just a little trimming and the results are what you see on the pictures, first picture is 1 month of using this product (I shaved it off the next day) second picture is today 5 months after first use. I never thought this would work for me but I took a chance and itโs definitely doing what itโs supposed to. If you are considering giving this a try then please note that itโs not cheap and you will have to use this for life, Iโm yet to decide if itโs all worthwhile but for now Iโm happy with the results and I plan my first trip to the barbers next month for the first time in 10 years. FYI- I use as directed on the leaflet 1/2 (half) cap twice per day starting at the crown and massaging onto the scalp on the areas needed, it says on the leaflet it does not work at the templeโs but Iโve noticed a great improvement around that area. Ps: after 3 months of using this product and after a lot of research I started using finasteride too, Iโve had no side effects from either product but if you are considering using finasteride I would suggest that you research thoroughly and read all possible side effects and decide if you are willing to take the chance. Hopefully this review will help even one person decide either way if they want to go ahead and try this stuff or decide against. Good luck on the journey.

Not enough people are aware of the side effects
When I say "not enough people", I am including myself within this group. When I bought this product it was somewhat of an impulse purchase. I was losing my hair, and I was panicking about it. I knew If I did nothing about the hair loss, the situation wouldn't improve, so I turned to the internet to research potential products. I initially stayed away from Regaine, due to the price and inconvenience. Presuming each bottle lasts a month it will be costing over ยฃ160 per year, which in my opinion is a lot to be spending on hair loss products. It's inconvenient in that it should be applied twice a day, but in all honesty it doesn't take much time. So instead, I started off simple, and cheap- with caffeine shampoos. Hoping that they would do something to slow the hair loss. I can confirm they did nothing of the sort. A completely useless product to treat hair loss. So much so that I believe Alpecin (a popular producer of caffeine shampoo), have recently been banned from saying that their product can reduce hair loss. I believe they can help thicken the hair, and perhaps make the hair stronger, which in itself makes them a better option than your regular supermarket shampoos. However, in terms of hair loss- nothing. I was losing my hair at a greater rate than ever now. It was then that I decided to turn to Regaine. As I said, it was somewhat of an impulse purchase. I was losing my hair, and Regaine is supposedly one of the most effective hair loss treatments. I put the price and inconvenience aside, and without doing much further research, I decided to purchase it. What could go wrong? Well as it turns out- a lot. A couple of days after using it I started to notice myself losing more hair than usual while in the shower, but initially I thought nothing of it. After all, it does state in the product information (although very unclearly) that hair loss may temporarily increase as the hairs are making way for "new, thicker hairs!". So I thought nothing of it, and stuck with it until a few days later when once again I lost a lot of hairs in the shower- even more than usual. My hairline looked visibly worse than it did before starting Regaine. Considering the reason I started using Regaine was to improve my hair loss situation, these were very worrying signs as Regaine was making my hair loss worse rather than better. With that in mind, I decided to further research into the product and discovered that this initial shed of hair is very common and in some cases can be very bad, which really isn't made clear by the manufacturer. I also found out that Regaine doesn't actually help hair loss as it does nothing to block DHT (as finasteride does), rather it regrows temporary hairs in the areas which it was applied. Unfortunately, all these hairs will be lost within months of using Minoxidil, essentially making this a life long commitment. If you want to keep the "regrown" hairs, you will have to buy this product every month and apply it twice a day for the rest of your life. This creates further issues in that Regaine is often said to stop working within 5 years of use. After this research I decided to stop using immediately. This was after just 5 days of applying it once/twice a day. I decided that it would be better to stop using it as soon as possible. And then...came further problems. After I stopped using it, I started losing hair at even greater rate (much more than before I began using Regaine). I also developed a very itchy scalp, which was something I've never suffered from previously. And this itchy scalp still remains a month after I've stopped using the product. So just over a month after using Minoxidil, my hairline is in a much worse position and I have an almost constant itch. It is crazy to think of all the negative consequences after using this product for just 5 DAYS. In conclusion, I would not recommend this product to anyone. That is unless you're fully committed to using this product every day, for the rest of your life. And are willing to accept that your hair will get worse before it gets better...along with the possible negative health consequences. What I do recommend, is to work on improving your health, diet, try to relieve yourself from stress and make sure you're getting enough sleep. These are all things that can accelerate the hair loss process. It's important to not panic- hair loss is inevitable for most men and without hair transplants and more advanced (and expensive) treatments, is irreversible. Accept you're losing your hair and do your best to slow the process. Don't turn to falsified products such as Regaine. Products I do recommend are Nizoral and Regenepure shampoos, both of these I believe have minimally helped with my hair loss, and I haven't experienced any negative side effects from using them. Just make sure to condition every time you shampoo, because they can dry out your hair. Good luck on your hair loss endeavour.
