Wow they are really good. the quality of the build is nice and ...
I was using two older flashes that did not have ttl and wanted that feature since I need a second and third off camera flash. I saw these and said let's give it a try. Wow they are really good. the quality of the build is nice and the flashes have worked without any issues for the first 100 shots. I am using them with the Yongnuo 622n TX and the radio communications is great no need for a 622N or 603 receiver since it can do both. I will be trying these with some Gels and shooting through an umbrella next but do not see anything that would lead me to believe that the can handle the job. Finally a good enough flash with all the modern day features that is 1/3 the cost of of the second level flash the big camera makers produce.

Great value for the price
Great value for the price. Works very well for professional use, just make sure you always have backup

Amazing product
So far, better than my SB-5000. Autofocus assist beam is far superior to the Nikon cross hairs. Brighter and more powerful with lower power options. Wireless N works flawlessly with YN-622N transmitter. Will be buying many more Only issue, fires much brighter than Nikon flash on TTL. I have it set to -3.0 almost all the time

Good not great
I bought two of these and use them with the 622 wireless trigger. Build quality is good not great. The battery barn doors will not stay closed with eneloop batteries installed and one flash is so bad that the plastic door guides broke off and now I use tape to keep it closed. So yeah. As has been said by others they overheat fairly easy. They lose connection with the 622 unit often. But I do not know if this is a flash issue or the trigger. I inquired about warranty repair and I was told I would have to send the units to Hong Kong. This would not only be expensive but time intensive and in my opinion not at all worth it. That said they were $100 All in all for the money I am happy with what I have although I wish I would have spent more and got a higher quality product with warranty service that was less cumbersome.

Get this speedlight. It's great!
The Yongnuo YN685 is an excellent speedlight! It's everything I want. I highly recommend them. I own three and I will buy at least two more. The best feature is the built in radio control but everything about this speedlight is very nice. This is currently the latest and greatest model from Yongnuo. If you are reading this in the future, make sure you do your research and find out what the latest model is.

Gone bad within less than half a year.
Purchased two of these and had a chance to take them through a number of indoor shoots in the past year. Overall - I am very disappointed. One stopped working about a couple of months after purchase - both the optical sensor and connection to radio just wouldn't make the flash unit fire. The only way it would work is if it's in a hot shoe on the camera. Oftentimes the flash would work for about 20 minutes and then stop reacting to photosensor or radio. After about 6 months the second unit started exhibiting same behaviors. Units are not overheating, full batteries - just stop responding to sensor or connector. I didn't expect much from these, but had they at least worked as advertised - I wouldn't be concerned. But my uses with these are few and far between, so they are not overtaxed, not constantly overheated, kept in cool dry place in the pouches they came in, used indoors only with three different brands of rechargeables (Eneloops, Energizer, and Amazon) and PocketWizard radios. Not going to spend a single dime on this brand anymore. At this point, I am just saving up for another Nikon SB unit.

Works with Fujifilm X series
I won't get into all the details as others have covered it but with the YN622n-TX controller you can have multi channel off camera TTL that uses UHF for communication and it works with X-Series Fuji camera. I've used it with X-Pro2, X100f, X100s and X-T2 and it's worked perfectly with all. You must use the Nikon, NOT the Canon version. Bonus that the X100 series camera's sync at very high speeds because of their leaf shutter so shooting formals at a wedding in bright sun is no problem. Power could be better as they have about 2 stops less power than the high end Canon or Nikon strobes but at 1/4 the price you can always buy 2 to double the power. The camera's flash system does most of the work but even in difficult side lit low-key photos like I attached, the YN685 does a great job.

Pretty good, but no optical slave.
Pros - works well, has built in wireless receiver. Cons - large (bigger than my other full size flashes). Does not include an optical slave mode! Also - there is an option to use a 622 transceiver in between this flash and your camera which allows this flash to "control" other off camera flashes. In theory it sounds great, but I was not getting good results. I wanted the flash on camera (with transceiver in between) to be in TTL and my off camera flashes in manual. I can't say exactly what was happening but the on camera flash TTL was NOT working as it did without the transceiver in between. Better to use the transmitter on camera (with LCD, no hot shoe pass through) and have the key TTL light on a stand next to you (if you want to use other lights in groups).

Prodotto paragonabile ai flash top di gamma. Nulla da invidiare.
