Does anyone have samples of the audio during video? I'm concerned with the quality of audio this camera produces since there is no mic port.

The GX85 is an amazing "still" camera but if you are planning using it for its video capabilities I'd get the Panasonic G7 which is identical in performance but geared towards a videographer, due to it having a external mic port and a articulating screen that allows you to see yourself when in from of the cam. Not too mention it's cheaper.

Are panasonic dmw-ble9 batteries compatible with the gx85?

Andrew Lossing is correct. I use the BLE-9PP (from the LX100) as a second battery and it works fine with the GX85 though its power rating is slightly lower than the BLE-10 (940 mAh vs. 1025 mAh)

Does this have a silent shutter (electronic only) mode?

Yes. The shutters' sound is customizable and can be turned off .
