Great device, worked just as described and very simple to use!

WORKS GREAT. BATTERY VOLTAGE AND ALTERNATER VOLTAGE. ONLY BAD THING IS COLORED PLASTIC SLEEVES OVER CLIPS MOVE AROUND. I SHORTENED THEM AND USED 3M THIN DUCK TAPE TO SECURE THEM TO THE METAL AND TIGHTEN LOOSE TOPS. NOW FINE.

Really basic, no numerics, but it gets the job done knowing what is working and what needs fixing. Diagnosing alternator helps isolate any issues.

THIS LITTLE DEVICE IS AWESOME FOR THE PRICE. MY CAR WOULDNT START FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST 5 YEARS BUT DID START IMMEDIATELY WITH A JUMP FROM MY PORTABLE JUMPER BUT THE NEXT WEEK AGAIN WOULD NOT START BUT AGAIN DID WITH MY JUMPER SO I ORDERED THIS TO TEST OUT MY BATTERY BEFORE GOING AND SPENDING MONEY ON A NEW BATTERY AND AS SOON AS THIS AARRIVED I WENT TO TEST IT ON MY CAR BATTERY AND RIGHT AWAY IT READ 12.07 AND INDICATED THE RED LIGHT SAYING IT WAS LOW SO I ALREADY NEW I NEEDED TO AT LEAST GO TO AUTOZONE DOWN THE BLOCK AND GIVE IT A FREE 35 MINUTE CHARGE BUT ALSO BUY A NEW BATTERY CAUSE SOONER OR LATER EVEN AFTER A CHARGE AT AUTOZONE IT WOULD ONLY BE A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE IT LOOSES IT CHARGE AND OF COURSE AFTER 5 YEARS ITS ALWAYS TIME FOR A NEW BATTERY. SO AT AUTOZONE THEY CHECKED THE BATTERY WITH A MUCH BETTER MORE PROFESSIONAL BATTERY READER AND IT READ THE SAME THING AS THIS LITTLE DEVICE SO I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THIS AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND TO HAVE IN YOUR CAR FOR WHEN YOUR BATTERY STARTS TO GIVE U PROBLEMS. I DIDNT CHECK THE ALTERNATOR CAUSE I FIGURE IT WAS THE BATTERY SINCE THE CAR IS NOW 5 YEARS OLD AND ITS THE ORIGINAL BATTERY AND THE CAR ONLY HAS 20,000 MILES NOW SO ITS STILL FAIRLY NEW WITH LOW MILES FOR A 5 YEAR OLD CAR UPDATE: PURCHASED A NEW CAR BATTERY AND USED THIS TO CHECK THE BATTERY AND IT READ 12.77 WHICH MEANS THE BATTERY IS 100% CHARGED AND READY TO BE INSTALLED AND THE GREEN LIGHT WAS ON INDICATING FULL. Excellent instrument to show the state of a car battery at a glance. Easy to use out of the box, just connect the correct polarity clamp ( red to red and black to black) to immediately know the charge status of your car battery. The display is large and clear showing the battery voltage and if it needs to be charged. On my car, with an older unit, it still showed the right voltage but also indicated the need for charging by displaying “EMPTY” message in the left lower side of the instrument. After fully charging it the message changed to “ FULL”. The tester appears durable and easy to work with, but, like any electronic device, one should handle it carefully to ensure longevity. Overall I am very happy with this device and highly recommend it to all those willing to work a bit to maintain their car battery.

It's inexpensive and it does the job. It's exactly what I needed and it's so helpful. It's actually my second one . . . I loaned the first one out, didn't get it back, and so when I bought another, I went for the same model because I liked it so much. (Also, very fast service!)

Great product! Gets the job done and quickly!

Wife was driving Her ford 150. Broke down just before a busy street. When I got there would not start battery light was on. Gave it a jump start. Started up but would die few minutes after. Took old batter out and went to get it tested. It was good. It was 4 years old so just got a new one. Hoping it would run just to get it home. No did the same thing. Had towed to shop and put new altenator in. $1100.00 Day. 2017 kia parked in winter had to boost it. Hoping it was the battery and not altenator. Ordered the $20.00 Motopower battery tester. Hopefully it didn't need a altenator to. Put the tester on my new battery and altenator and readings were perfect. Now the kia test. It's was a $200.00 battery or a another $1000.00. But it on the kia and showed battery and showed dead. Now the altenator test crossed my finger and showed altenator was good. This tester worked great and for the price you can't beat it. Some people could have charge you saying altenator needs replacement. So get one and can save you $$$$$. Only if you use it once peice of mind new battery or altenator.

Works as intended. Very easy to use and quickly displays the status of the batteries. I tested both of our cars that have a 4 year old battery each and stated both batteries are good and the alternators are working. We only drive our second car occasionally and the battery is mostly kept on maintenance charge to stop it from going flat. Seems to be doing the job and now I can be more assured with this nifty gadget. Highly recommend.

El equipo funcionó muy bien cumplió con la expectativa por el precio, solo que no trae seguridad contra cortos, se tocaron los cables rojo y negro al estar revisando un cargador de 12V y ya dejó de funcionar, al revisar el equipo no se encontró fusible contra este tipo de situaciones.

Easily check basic battery and alternator health. Does not need batteries to operate.
