I buy this in bulk to hang up school artwork on our walls, but it’s MOSTLY an imagination tool for my kids to create whatever pops into their little heads. Here are some examples: delineate an obstacle course, make eye-masks for the stuffies, make a tiny gondola, make bandages for injured stuffies, tie a weird selection of objects together, etc. The best part is, when it’s time to remove the creations so we can walk through the house again, the tape is easily removed from objects, and it’s paper tape so no plastic waste to haunt your conscience. I don’t know about the glue; it does irritate my kids’ skin (no tape eye-masks for them) but so do regular boo-boo bandages; they may just have sensitive skin. Scotch Blue Painter’s Tape is hands-down my favorite. Is there other tape out there? Sure. But this is the one I trust every time. It pulls off cleanly and easily, without leaving residue or damaging surfaces. I use it both at home and at work, and as a PE teacher, I especially love how it holds up during activities but still removes with no hassle when I’m done. It’s reliable, versatile, and lasts as long as I need it to.

If you open this...be prepared for stink. They smell so strongly. I had to put them in a zip lock bag when I wasnt using them. Stick really well. Maybe too well...I had paint come up with the tape in a couple spots. I'm not a professional, so, that could be operator error. I ended up just getting a better paint brush and ditching the tape.

Scotch painters tape is the best. I've never had residue left behind on a workpiece. Recommend it to everyone.

1/3 of the price as name brand and just as good for most applications

If you care about your product - stick with a name-brand that you can trust. When I install these rolls into the tape guns that we manufacture, I know that it will fit perfectly, and work as intended. Trying to save a few dollars on cheaper, no name-brand tape is a mistake. I've seen knock-off brands that were so fluffy and bulky, that they wouldn't fit in the tape gun. I had to question what they were even made of (?) The Scotch-brand tapes are the same every time. They stick well; they tear-off nicely; and hold onto the wall, etc, where you place them. Don't go cheap, you'll hate yourself in the morning.

We use a lot of blue painter's tape at our church especially during our children's summer camp program, putting up decorations all over the walls at church. It's worth getting Scotch brand as some other generic ones might cause some damage to your walls. You should be aware that there are two different versions: an indoor version and an indoor/outdoor version. So of course the version designed for outdoor as well as indoor can handle being in wider range of temperature. It is also usually a little more expensive BUT you should always compare. I used buy the indoor only version since we only use it indoors but this time the indoor/outdoor version was actually cheaper so double check the prices and versions. They also come in various multi-rolls so you should calculate the cost per roll to compare. As long as you remove it carefully it won't damage your walls (either version from Scotch).
