kept us from getting a new printer, these ink cartridges work great and are a great value.

I can’t believe this product works. Usually my printer is super picky about genuine Brother products, so I was skeptical. I have had no issues with these cartridges, and they’re super cheap to boot!

UpdateAfter printing few pages, the blak ink failed to print. I tried removing and reinstalling the ink. I did several printer head cleanings, but the problem persisted. I was about to give up and go to Office Depot and get the original Brother ink cartridge. I got a flash light and inspected the ink cartridge port on the printer. I found out the printer ink nozzle is a male that pierces the membrane on the ink cartridge. It turns out there are two membranes on the ink cartridge. The outer one is easily visible. The inner membranes is behind the outer membrane. I suspected the inner membrane did not get pierced. As a last try, I openedd another black ink cartridge from the EZ- ink set and inserted it quickly with a firm push. It felt that the cartridge ink membrane got pierced. The first test print was totaly missing the black color. I initiated printer head cleaning and the test print showed some black ink print. I had to run about 7 black printer head cleanings before the test print showed all the black dashed test lines.Some reviewers had claimed that the ink clogged their printer head. I suspect the problem is not clogging of the printer head. Instead, it is the problem of the inner membrane somewhat not being pierced properly during the insertion. Gat a safety pin and pierce the membranes. Remove the pin and If you see ink on the pin tip, then you know that you have pierced the membranes.Original ReviewThis review is E-Z Ink Cartridges replacing Brother LC103 cartridges. The same number of cartridges from Brother would have cost me $140.For a long time, I have been buying ink cartridges branded as Sophia Global; however, the cartridges are no longer available from Amazon. I had some old spare Sophia Global black cartridge, but the printer would not recognize it for some reason. I thought maybe the printer firmware got upgraded somewhat even though I was careful not to inadvertently upgrade it. I suspect newer Brother firmware prevents using 3rd party cartridges. My printer is Brother Model MFC-J6720DW and its current firmware is Revision P.I ordered the E-Z Ink cartridges just to try. To my surprise, the cartridges are recognized by my printer and the print quality is much better than those produce with my old ink cartridges.

Very affordable and works perfect

As one reviewer previously stated, there are two membranes that your printer needs to pierce on the cartridge once installed. I have the Brother MFC-J870DW. The color cartridges worked on first try, but the black did not. When first installed, black ink did not work. I removed the cartridge and inserted the end of a safety pin until the second membrane was pierced. Then had to do 3 cleanings (accessed from the printer setup menu on front of printer). This did the trick and now works perfectly. The ink is very vibrant and the printer recognized the cartridges right away. I would recommend these once you know how to make them work!

Long lasting at a good price.

I got this from the seller, EZ Ink. Delivery is on time and the packaging is alright. The black and colour cartridges was recognized by my printer (MFC-J470DW). Considering the price of the cartridges, the quality of the print is very good and the cartridges lasts for a long time if you only print occasionally. However, if you get water on the page that you printed, it will smudge quite easily.Also, you need to clean the printer (by going into Menu - Ink - Cleaning) occasionally if the pages that you print have a lot of pictures.Overall, it seems like a good value and I would purchase again.Pros:- On time delivery and good packaging (Seller is EZ Ink)- Good Value- Acceptable to Good Print Quality- Last for a long time if you only print occasionallyCons- Need to clean printer occasionally to get a good quality print- Ink will smudge if you get water on the page
