Great little eco friendly sponges which take up so little room in the cupboard. They do a good cleaning job and are long lasting. Will be buying again.

They are honestly one of my best buys. I normally cut mine in half and need to only order once a year as they can be safely washed in the dishwasher. The best part is once they disintegrate, which takes months, I can easily compost them. Highly recommended, one of the best products I have bought. My little one loves to see the 'magic' of them popping once they absorb water :) Environmentally friendly and long lasting

Honestly just the most amazing little sponges. Not huge but they definitely do the trick & to know that they’re biodegradable too, even better. Fun to watch them fill out. Will be purchasing again for sure.

Overall they’re a refreshing, genuinely low-waste alternative to the neon-yellow plastic bricks most of us grew up with, but there are a couple of trade-offs worth knowing before you hit “Buy Again.” What Great About It! 1. Surprising space-savers. Each sponge arrives wafer-thin—about the size and feel of a beer mat then, springs to full thickness the moment it hits water. A whole six-pack takes up less drawer space than a single conventional sponge, which is handy if, like me, you hoard too many gadgets. 2. 100 % plant-based & home-compostable. The cellulose material means that when a sponge finally gives up the ghost, I can toss it straight into the food-waste caddy. No plastic mesh, no micro-fibres down the drain, and even the packaging is cardboard. 3. Good everyday cleaning performance. Once hydrated, the texture is nicely grippy, soft enough for glassware but still firm on dried-on porridge or tea stains. I haven’t needed a separate cloth for routine spills, and it doesn’t scratch stainless-steel pans. 4. Quick to dry, slow to smell. Because cellulose breathes better than foam, the sponge dries faster on the sink rack and stays odour-free for longer. In four weeks mine never developed that tell-tale musty whiff. Areas for improvement! 1. Durability lags behind synthetics. Composty claims 6–8 weeks per sponge, but mine showed fraying edges after about five with daily dish duty. That’s still respectable for a compostable product, just shy of the months-long lifespan I get from a plastic-and-scourer combo. 2. Stiff straight out of the pack. The dry “coin” is as hard as cardboard; you can’t use it for a quick wipe without first running it under the tap. Not a deal-breaker, but guests occasionally stare at the rigid disk in confusion. 3. Price-per-use is higher. Eco materials and U.K. manufacture carry a premium. Compared with a 10-pack of supermarket sponges, these cost roughly double once you factor in the shorter overall lifespan. You’re paying for compostability and compact storage. Final Verdict ~~~ If you’re looking to cut plastic from your kitchen without sacrificing decent scrubbing power, Composty’s Pop-Up Sponges are a solid choice. They do everything a standard sponge does while shrinking both their physical and environmental footprint. Just be prepared to replace them a bit sooner and remember to wet before you wipe. For me, that balance of convenience and sustainability earns an honest four stars.

Magical sponge. Mops up and stays in good shape

In truth, I wasn't expecting a great deal of these, but I am really impressed. I have been buying standard a cellulose version from supermarkets for many years, but like many of us, I ay becoming much more concerned about the environment and our impact on it. These are quite small, but swell up quickly and I have now been using one for 5 days. There are no tears/rips, no disintegration of any sort. They are absorbent and clean well. A game changer!

I have tried alternatives to those cheap sponges I can buy in the store, but either the size or quality is wrong and it just doesn't serve my needs. How thrilled I was to find this eco friendly, "green" sponge that performs and acts just like the regular cheap sponges I can buy at my local grocers. And these sponges have NO PLASTIC in them, they are totally all natural made of cellulose (which is a natural product - I never knew that). When you are done with these sponges, you can cut them up and put in your compost pile. The price isn't bad either, considering you get 12 sponges for this price and they last a long time, just like those cheap ones in the stores. And this family run company is awesome. Instead of paying for advertising, they plant trees whenever they sell a package of sponges. It's a win/win/win all around. I usually don't write many reviews, but I just had to let everyone know what a great company and product this is. Try it today, you will thank me later !!!

perfette, resistenti, efficienti, le ho riacquistate

Appena sono arrivate, ho subito notato l'attenzione al packaging, che era sia carino che ecologico. Le spugne erano essiccate e piatte, il che le rendeva estremamente compatte e occupavano pochissimo spazio nel cassetto, a differenza delle spugne tradizionali. Un aspetto che ho apprezzato particolarmente è che queste spugne sono compostabili. A differenza di altre spugne ecologiche che avevo acquistato in passato e che dovevano essere gettate nell'indifferenziata, queste possono essere facilmente tagliate a pezzetti e smaltite nell'umido. Ho notato che sulla confezione c'è anche un QR code che ti porta al loro sito web, dove puoi trovare idee creative per riutilizzare le spugne, il che è un vantaggio aggiuntivo. Passando al prodotto stesso, sono rimasto molto soddisfatta. Appena ho bagnato una delle spugne, si è gonfiata rapidamente. La spugna si è rivelata eccellente nel lavare gli utensili, ed è anche molto efficace nell'asciugare le superfici bagnate. Sono convinta che queste spugne dureranno a lungo, il che le rende un investimento valido. Personalmente, non utilizzo mai la parte ruvida delle spugne, quindi queste spugne sono perfette per le mie esigenze. Inoltre, sono davvero carine da vedere, un tocco in più che le rende piacevoli da utilizzare.
