Will this fit an FJ cruiser?

Google the type of bulb the fj takes. Or check and see what type of bulb is in your fj. This bulb is H4, which has hi and low beams in a single bulb. When I look for 2007-2014 FJ cruiser I see bulb "9003". So I don't think it's fits. Also always include the most information when asking a question. Year, make, model. Trim.

Any improvement over the previous product?

Hi, yes, brighter and Hi Beam is much “whiter” (less yellow) than lo beam. Perhaps the lo beam is not much improved, but hi beam, definitely yes.
