Nice shutoff valve
With a basement wet bar in process, I ordered this shutoff valve to use with the fridge we'll be installing. I haven't installed it yet because we're not quite ready for it, but overall I'm happy with this valve. My go-to shutoff valves are Brasscraft's KTCR quarter turn ball valves. They are the best hands down. This EZ-Fluid valve appears to be of very similar quality. It is lead-free (a must for any potable water application) and uses a true metal ball valve internal mechanism (rather than some of the cheaper quarter turn valves that use a plastic internal mechanism). The handle rotates smoothly and easily. All the machining on it looks good. The 5/8" OD compression fitting fits standard 1/2" copper just fine, and the 1/4" compression fitting connects to a standard braided 1/4" fridge supply line as well. The handle on this valve, while chrome plated, is made from plastic, rather than the metal handle on the Brasscraft equivalent. It's probably not a huge issue, but on balance, it would be nice if every part of the valve was made to last decades. From a price perspective, this valve is a couple dollars less expensive than the Brasscraft KTCR valve. Given the relatively nominal savings, in the future, I probably would pony up a little more for the Brasscraft, but if you're on a strict budget and if you're installing a lot of valves, then this EZ-Fluid is a reasonable option.

Solid Choice for Ice Maker Installation
I recently installed the EZ-Fluid Fridge Icemaker Angle Stop valve, and overall, I’m pretty pleased with my decision. The installation process was straightforward. The valve is compatible with standard 1/2-inch nominal and 1/4-inch OD compression fittings, which made it easy to connect to my existing plumbing without any special tools. One thing I really appreciated was the quality of the materials. The chrome brass finish not only looks good but also feels sturdy and durable. This gives me confidence that it will hold up well over time. The quarter-turn design makes it simple to shut off the water supply when needed, which is a nice touch for maintenance or emergencies. After installation, I did a quick test run, and the valve performed flawlessly. No leaks and no drips! That’s a huge plus in my book. I also found that it provides a good amount of flow, which is important for keeping the ice maker running smoothly. If you're looking for a reliable angle stop valve for your fridge icemaker, I would definitely recommend the EZ-Fluid. It’s functional, easy to install, and seems built to last. Overall, I’d give it a thumbs up!
