Sewing Pattern 6142 Miss/Men Separates, Size A

I'm self taught and new to sewing and this pattern was easy to follow for the pants and tank. The jacket may take some effort for me. It's well worth the cost as there are many patterns within this item. I would recommend.

I made the hoodie using this pattern. I used the chart to chose my size. It was a size small. So the hoodie, once finished, is a little bit above my knees. I happened to have had a long zipper that fit the length perfectly. I adjusted the pockets to be centered and placed near the zipper and gave it a little waist which ended up lower than I expected. The fabric I used was quite stretchy. So the fit isn't snug but very lose and it feels like a coat. I guess it worked out in that I bought the wrong zipper length and pattern size without knowing. It does look oversized but I like it. But if you are short and normally buy clothes in petite sizes and was expecting the hoodie, from this pattern, to be hip length, it's not. I also made the tank top and it turned out okay. Strangely, it was a little short so I extended the length a little bit.

I have used this pattern 3 times and I love using it probably because I have been sewing for 45 years and can understand adjustments if needed

This is a variable pattern with lots of options. I like it. I only gave it 3 stars because I haven't actually gotten to try it out. Woops.
