Battery lasts a long time
Exactly what my Mom was looking for. She has used an older Swivel Sweeper for years until the dirt trap door broke on the bottom. She wanted a replacement and this was identical to the one she had been using for years. In fact, the battery on her old one still fit perfectly on the new one so she is saving the new battery until the old one fails. This was super easy to put together. As stated the battery life lasts a long time. Emptying the waste bin is super easy. Just hold over the wastebasket and hit the button to open the trap door on the bottom. This works perfectly in replacement of a broom and not wanting to pull out the full vacuum. I'd recommend and my Mom is very happy.

Perfect for what it's designed for!
this is great product, but gets some negative reviews and comments because some folks try to make it do things that it'snot really designed for. This is for small areas, and/or is great as a quick touch-up sweeper: Got company coming in 10 minutes and your front rug or floor is looking grungy? Boom! This sweeper can tackle it... but don't think your going to clean all of your floors all at once with it. We have several small area rugs where dirt and dog hair and dust buildup on the surface. This Sweeper gets rid of the surface dirt perfectly. The motor does bog down a little bit on rugs, (if you have a shag carpet… Don't even think about it.) On tile or hardwood floors it'll get up all the visible loose dirt, crumbs, sawdust, coffee grounds… Or what have you. This is not a vacuum cleaner . It is a motorized floor sweeper, it has no suction... It's super fast, super lightweight, and super easy to maneuver… Because it swivels ... it has tiny little brushes in the corners of the unit that will get stuff in corners and against baseboards etc... it also has rotating brushes and the sides... I bought this one to replace my old swivel sweeper, which I have used and abused for several years now… The old sweeper still works OK enough. But this new sweeper has much more power, and the removable brushes make it easier to clean… And Yes, if you have anybody, or any thing, in your home with long hair, you will be cleaning the sweeper brushes...nothing is perfect. The one thing I wish they would have done better, is have a battery that you can recharge without having to pay attention to how long it is in the charger for.... this is the only rechargeable device that doesn't automatically charge the battery and shut off the charger when the battery is full. No big deal… I just set an alarm on my phone, and I never charge the battery unless I know I'm going to be home when it's done charging... on my old unit I have left the battery charged longer than the instructions allowed, he didn't kill the battery.... and after several years the battery still works. Another positive, is the battery for my old sweeper also works in this new unit, The old battery is a little bit weak, but in those instances where I'm doing quite a lot of touch up on our floors, an extra battery pack could help get the job done. When I am done using and abusing this floor sweeper, lin a few years, I will most likely buy another one. I looked at other units that were basically just "straight ahead" sweepers (meaning it had one or two brushes in the front only... The swivel sweeper has rotating brushes on the sides of the sweeper and in the corner sof the sweeper and it swivels with the flick of a wrist which makes it manuver extremely easily and quickly... other floor sleepers are like minivans; Great for hauling a lot of dirt in a straight line. This thing is like a sports car; its great for sweeping around corners and catching up a little bits of "Uh-ohs" and "oh no the inlaws just called to say there dropping by!...

Sweep Up
Honestly when it has came down to many As Seen On TV products, most of them really have not worked in the way that a lot of customers intended on them to be made. But some products really do work wonders for the wallet. Hard to believe that it has been over a decade since the Swivel Sweeper had been released and it definitely changed the way we vacuum and clean up our floors. But so many still are skeptical in knowing if they are better than most of those robotic vacuums of today. Well, the thing that I do love about the sweeper is that it really does as strong of a job as most vacuum companies have had their cleaners made like Oreck and Hoover. The Swivel Sweeper Max really does work well at cleaning your carpets and bare floors without many hassles. It is very lightweight and easy to carry, and really does a great job at picking up dirt, pet hair and fuzz from the floors. The sweeper works great, but there is one thing though that could've been improved. While the sweeper cleans up nicely, removing the cleaning heads to clean and remove tangled hair and things that can clutter the sweeper is more of a hassle. Still, the battery works flawlessly when you need to recharge it and there is no problems or wasted time. It is a really good product and I sincerely recommend the Swivel Sweeper Max. Lightweight, better than the stick vacuums
Better than expected. So lite weight, gets the edges, picks up everything. I went to charge and no red light, it was already charged. Easy to assemble.

Tried and True
Tried and true sweeper that doesn't require wired charging. I have two batteries that I swap into the charger when one gets low. I don't have to wait for the recharge. I just really love this sweeper. I've been buying them for years. I always have two on hand at any time in case one eventually fails. They usually last me about 2 years.

Faulty Battery
I really wanted to like this product. First use out of the box I would have given it a 4. But I only got one charge out of the battery. When I plugged it in to charge further there was no light on the charger to indicate it was working. After 7 hours it allowed my sweeper to run about 30 seconds. This is the first time I can think of that I'll be returning a product I bought from Amazon. If you're lucky enough to avoid a bad battery, here is the 4-star review. I bought this sweeper to spot pickup my German Shepherd's shedding between vacuums. A job that it did quite well. Thankfully the container ends up holding more than it looks like it should. I thought for sure that I would need to empty once or twice to be able to finish the house but I ended up being able to do it all in one go. The swivel is probably my favorite feature. It makes it super easy to get along the base boards and into corners. Very maneuverable to keep a quick job a quick job. It was also quite easy to clean out the brushes when needed due to their ability to snap in and out. The lack of a 5th star is due to some fairly minor issues. The on/off button is located quite near the base of the sweeper instead of further up the handle. Which wouldn't even be that big of a deal except if I picked up the sweeper while running it would throw large amounts of dog fur back on the floor. I would need to turn it off first before picking it off the ground for it to keep the fur in the brushes. The brushes also do quite a bit of blowing while on. I could see larger clumps of dog fur being blown away that I would need to chase down. Once I was over top of the fur it did pick up quite nicely. This blowing also caused the base of the sweeper to be covered in a dust within seconds.

Great for a hairless house
This item works pretty well and for that I give it three stars. I've used it numerous times on one charge so, in that respect, it is fine. It picks up pretty well. We have a Golden Retriever so you can imagine our house is hair city. I could vacuum up enough hair to make another puppy, every day practically. I wanted something like this for in-between and little jobs including the kitchen, bathroom, etc. The receptacle is quite small, however. It fills up super fast and you need to empty it before continuing on. It does pick up hair but the hair all goes around the brushes. If you have shedders in your house you will spend a LOT more time emptying it and cleaning the hair out of the brushes than you'll spend actually using it. Fortunately, five of the brushes snap out with ease and back in with not too much trouble. I have hand and wrist problems now so I have a little bit of trouble getting them back in, but not much. If you don't have hand, etc, issues you will be fine. There are four little brushes, one on each corner, that I found a bit difficult to get the hair from. It wraps around them and there is not much space. Those brushes don't come out. However, after I spent a frustrating time trying to unwrap the hair from those four corner brushes I realized that you can remove the clear plastic cover and that exposes them better, making it much easier to clean those brushes. D'oh! My biggest issue is with how much time is required to clean it. Aside from removing the five brushes and cleaning them, pulling the hair from the four corner brushes, and emptying the container, I also had to take a toothbrush to it to get and dusty debris from the inside and around the brushes. So, all the stars are for how well it works and how much battery time you get. The minus-two is for how much time I spend cleaning and emptying it. I wish the hair would just go into the receptacle instead of wrapping around the brushes. That would make it much easier to use. If it were any more expensive I would say it's not worth it, but for thirty-five to forty (it was forty when I bought it...boo hiss) dollars it's pretty much worth it.

I love this sweeper!
I have back problems and using a broom to sweep the floor is very, very painful for me... so I use a sweeper all the time. I've been very happy with this swivel sweeper. If you've seen the commercials that show how closely it hugs stuff when you turn it, it's TRUE. There are two prongs on the top of the sweeper that allow you to dump the dirt without touching the dirty pan. It even works okay on indoor-outdoor carpeting (I know... I'm not supposed to use it there!). The only thing I'm not sold on is the way the battery is attached and charged, but for the price I can definitely put up with that. I bought this to replace an old Shark. The battery on the Shark had died, and purchasing a new battery for the charger was more expensive than replacing the sweeper! And on a comparison basis, I would say that this sweeper is a LOT more powerful the the Shark was. In fact, I have to be careful to either pick everything up that I don't want it picking up (rugs, soft baskets, shoes, etc.) before I sweep. It will pull in things I never thought it would pull in! It is also quick to shut itself off if you do pick something up that will hurt the mechanism. The only con there is that you have to wait for it to reset itself (about 10 minutes) before it will turn back on. Of course, you can remove the battery and then stick it in again to circumvent that. I've found that it usually will turn on by the time I've cleared the rollers. This is not a vacuum and it won't replace one either, but it is a great little sweeper. Once of the nice features of this is that there is a magnet in the head (on both sides, I think) that holds the head to the bar when it is put up.
