I purchased 2 of these cans in 2015 and they are in perfect condition! It hold a lot of trash and fits nicely in the bathroom and office and it’s a real space saver. It’s rather sturdy and made of quality materials. Mine are 10 years old and they are still in perfect shape. It does not dent or deform, and it looks great anywhere! I would purchase this item again if I had a need for one without reservation. I highly recommend this slim trash can as it’s very useful, looks great, high quality plastic that doesn’t deform, and it’s attractive. I highly recommend this product.A+

In our home we have a spare upstairs bathroom and I have claimed this small secluded space for myself as a little private area where I can spend some individual time. This is my personal space, where I can keep all my personal items and tools for skin-care and hair-care, without cluttering up our master bathroom. In addition, I can enjoy a relaxing warm soak in the bathtub, without any interruptions from someone walking in to use the bathroom facilities. Nevertheless, there is a small trade-off as this bathroom is tiny and so narrow that one can touch the opposite wall from the other side. Therefore the floor space is very limited, and there is no room to place a waste basket or anything along the wall without them in the way or getting kicked over. However, I have made this into a cozy room. I have furnished it with a plush floor mat in front of the sink and vanity area, thick and soft towels by the tub, and shelving to hold my skin-care, hair-care products along with an assortment of all my different cosmetics. Therefore, I want to keep this area attractive as it’s my little area to relax and escape any stress from the day. For years, I used a tiny wicker basket as my waste bin and forced it into a sliver of space between the vanity and toilet. However, this basket had a very small diameter, and its height was so short that it needed emptying constantly, often a few times a week. Furthermore, due to the constant squeezing in and tugging out, it was falling apart. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a waste bin and I just needed an inexpensive one that had a larger capacity to fit in the space and not scrape against either the toilet or the side of the vanity. I was looking for a durable plastic that didn’t scream ‘cheap plastic’ like the ‘Rubbermaid’ brand seems to do as I have decorated this bathroom to have an attractive appearance. The Umbra Skinny Trash Can has a contemporary form, and it does not have that ‘tacky’ appearance like so many other waste bins. I chose the dark bronze color because a light shade might discolor, and I wanted it to blend in with the wood vanity and the earth colors and brown shades that are my rugs and towels. The outside of this waste bin is a mat texture, and the interior has a smooth and glossy surface without any corners. Although I use a dark interior liner as protection from ‘gooey’ thrown out trash, this waste bin is fast and easy to clean both the exterior and interior with a sponge. The oval shaped opening has a contemporary and a gradual incline, the shallow section measures 11 ¼” from the floor and slightly slopes up to 13” on the other side. The measurement of the oval opening is 6 ½” at the widest area and has a 13 ½: length opening. I like the open section along the top to grasp as a handle, and this handle is smooth and doesn’t scratch my hand. However, I love the two gallon capacity, which would take weeks to fill up, in case I forget to take out the weekly trash. In conclusion, this is an inexpensive contemporary style waste bin that tucks away and fits into those tight spaces to resolve a limited floor space issue. My waste bin is out of view and tucked away between the vanity and the toilet and I am satisfied how well it blends in. The designed form is not ostentatious and I’m happy that it does not draw attention to my trash as a main focal feature.

We recently redecorated a small bathroom with oil-rubbed bronze towel bars, light fixtures, etc. I wanted a wastebasket to match, but didn't want to pay the almost $20 a friend had spent on her (plastic) oil-rubbed bronze trash bin. When I found this Umbra Skinny Waste Can on Amazon I was extremely happy, but didn't have terribly high expectations considering the price. I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived! The color looks great with our fixtures and tile. The size (narrowness) is perfect for a small bathroom, yet easily holds a weeks worth of trash. The interior glossy surface makes it easy to clean, and I love the handle...no need to grab the can by the rim (putting part of your hand inside the wastebasket) when it's time to empty. I will be ordering again for another bathroom once I've decided on a color! 11/2021 UPDATE - The wastebasket in our small bathroom still looks brand new. It is so easy to just grab it by the handle to empty on trash day, and the smooth interior and rounded (oval) bottom continues to be easy to clean. I like it so much that a while ago I purchased a second one in the same color after remodeling our full bath.

Have to say these waste cans are pretty nice for an inexpensive plastic unit. The colors are nice...we got the brown/bronze for one bath and white for the other and they both look nice. The built in carry handle is nice, but not really needed, even if they are full. I normally line my wastebaskets with plastic bags, but it looks bad with these, so I do without and it makes me appreciate the design where the bottom of these is rounded. Why hasn't this been done before? With squared off bottoms, like in most cans, it's tough to clean around the edges and in the corners, but with a rounded bottom there's no place for dirt to hide or collect. We don't have huge bathrooms, so the narrow design really worked out great for us. Happy with the purchase and would definitely buy them again.

This is the second Skinny Bin I’ve bought as they’re perfect for bathrooms. Great capacity given the narrow depth, the bin fits neatly into improbably small gaps and is perfect for tissues, toilet roll cardboard etc. Easy to grab by the handle and easy to clean. Arrived speedily and earlier than expected. The Pearl white colour is very attractive.

Beautiful design, good quality, and really useful overall - I like it! Have one per each washroom, they fit perfectly and are not too bad cleaning-wise. Plus for the price?? Just perfect.
