Exactly what we needed for trips in Europe. Going to Athens and cruise to Italy so will use Greek and Italian. Planning a trip to Germany, Switzerland and Austria so will use German translator.

I bought this for an upcoming trip to Italy and Greece. I wanted to not need to have a data plan for doing language translation. Supposedly this device would allow for Italian and Greek to be native (not needing anything else). When we tried to use it to translate Italian, it would not work unless the app was running and we were connected to data. When not connected, it would not do anything, saying that the language was not downloaded or supported. When looking at the app to see if Italian was downloaded, the box was checked, so it should have worked on its own. Also, the sound quality on this is terrible. Basically, this device on its own is nothing more than a microphone and speaker with a Bluetooth interface. All the work is done on your phone. Not sure why it would not work on my wife's iPhone (a few generations old). Since I have international data on T-Mobile, I can get a better translation device just by using my Android phone and Google Translate. I would not recommend this device, based on our experience with it. I have already submitted a return request.

He is a young soldier that is going to use the product when he is shipped to Japan. He has been trying it out and says it works. Excellent that’s all I know about it right now.

Not a user friendly

Volume is low with no bass. It needs an additional Bluetooth connection to external speakers or earphones. Translation to and from Finnish is good. It includes curse words.

Your phone and the "App" do all the work. And slowly. Bluetooth connectivity MUST BE maintained constantly and your phone must be running continuous anytime you want to use the unit. Unit is only a player and recorder. Messages are sent to your phone and then up over the Internet to be translated. App can do all the recording and playing, the Enence unit is not needed for anything except playing the audio (and being connected). Advertisement is very deceiving, why do I need the unit, why not just use the App by itself? FYI, audio output is very low, and hardly audible unless you are in a quiet place. Typical phone audio is WAY louder. Sorry, but this thing is just a fancy gimmick, and not very useful.

Used it 5,6 times a year back and it worked. It was dormant for a year and tried using it again since my son wanted to use it. The violet screen gets stuck and screen where you select languages never comes up. Tried reinstalling the app. Tech support heard about it, said cant do much about it since it was bought from Amazon; asked to contact amazon which made no sense because it seemed more like a software issue. So now it is not working and it is waste of money. Tech support said we tried everything; sorry. you may be better off with google translate.

Works surprisingly well for $50, wish I had it when it was overseas

Imposible ponerlo en marcha , la voz es malísima, hace un mes que trato hacerlo funcionar pero nada. A ver si puedo devolverlo
