Purchased this one to keep in car. It's a shorter design(by 1/2) than that my workshop one.I would have brought this one originally, but because of the lead time for postage from USA,i had to buy other one(from UK) for an urgent repair..Modern poly-vee drive belts rarely break,but i hate the thought of not being able to change a 'Fan-belt' by the roadside.It is a useful addition to the set of car tools as it gives extra leverage on nuts/bolts etc for roadside repairs.The ratchet extension bar design,(which keeps the items storage box length so short,)is a genius idea.Highly recommended.

Should have bought this years ago. Most times I've changed a serpentine belt it's been with a 3/8" ratchet and short extension but that's mostly been on longitudinal mounted engines. These fwd with the transverse mount take knuckle skinning to a whole new level. This tool worked like a charm to enable me to get past obstructions such as the crank pulley on a 2013 Chrysler 200 V6 using the ratcheting mechanism to give me the leverage to release the belt tension for taking out the old belt and installing the new one. Do yourself a favor and draw a picture of the belt routing BEFORE you take the belt off. It will save you learning a whole new set of sweat words.I highly recommend this tool and it comes with many attachments for accessing and undoing many other poorly engineered setups.
