It’s very good, my cats loved it.

Made a tea from this, and gave the cooled down water that was tinted to the cats - they went nuts for it. Not ideal to make a tea version if you do not want your cat’s face to be rubbing in the water - but then again my cat is a little special

Some chunks are very big and sharp but other than that it’s good

Real catnip and lasts forever

Picture proof of my cat rolling away in the Smarty Cat catnip. He absolutely loves the smell and/or taste. We've had to stop sprinkling it on the floor because he eats some but prefers to roll in it. It gets everywhere and you have to vacuum after play time. My suggestion is to buy a large box and sprinkle it in the box, then let your cat eat and roll around in it. In terms of quality and functionality, the product is good and does its job. For what it is (dried and crushed plant leaves), I think it could be cheaper.

Firstly it's important to note; not every cat reacts to catnip and those who do, will all act differently. I read many reviews from several products and it was hard to find reviews about the actual product, instead of how the reviewer's cat had reacted (which is still important). So, I'll address both points. The product itself has been great for us, and you get so much bang for your buck. This 2 ounce cannister is massive, much bigger than I had expected. There's enough here to last for a long, long time. There appears to be "buds" of catnip and there are some very thin stalks/sticks mixed within. When rubbing the product between my fingers to release the oils, I'm careful of sticking myself on these thin stalks, and it's no problem at all if you're aware when you do this. My cat is a few years old and never experienced catnip before. She could smell it from several feet away as I started crushing it between my fingers, and was initially withdrawing as she smelt it (like she does when smelling my menthol lip balm). After a minute or so, something triggered in her mind and she was in love with the little bowl of catnip, rubbing her face around inside the bowl and rolling around in the herb that spilled out of the bowl. While my cat absolutely loves the stuff, be prepared for this to be a messy process (in my experience). It's no trouble to do a 30 second vacuum in trade for 30 minutes of her rolling around in catnip heaven. She does like to eat a little bit of it, but mostly she'll roll around in it and then lick it out of her fur about 30-60 mins later. All-in-all, this was an absolutely fantastic find and I'm glad to have this product in my drawer of cat products. I might experiment with these other brands that charge the same price for only a few grams, as I know I've got this quality product in the house when it's needed. I'd gladly recommend this catnip from our experience!
