Great except for one thing
Excellent in every way but one. The clock looks great, is silent, and the illumination is adjustable and adequate. However, bizarrely the + and - signs printed on the battery boxes are reversed. I put the batteries in as the marks suggested and thought that the clock was defective because it would not light up. Luckily my boyfriend took a look and immediately observed that the batteries were installed incorrectly.

Fantastic Clock for intentionally dark places
Purchased for bedroom bathroom, where I wanted to be able to tell the time in the dark, but did not want a disturbing light source. Got the one with only the lit hands, and it’s perfect! Adjustable brightness, for me is perfect on the lowest setting. And whoever programmed the auto-on/off photocell got it exactly right - it stays off until you it’s dark enough that you can’t read the clock. Turns off at the first hint of light, to save batteries. Case is a nice brushed nickel finish, with good quality plastic lens. Silent running. Nicely printed face. I’m ordering a second one :)

Maybe, Finally, A Clock Suited For The Bedroom
I've looked far and wide for a clock which works well during the daytime and lights up at night, but not so bright it disturbs one's sleep. I would say this clock makes the grade.Unlike most others, it has a "brightness control wheel" on the rear which adjusts the nighttime level of the LED's; I found that the highest level was way too strong for my bedroom, but with a little experimentation, I eventually discovered a suitable level. This is a handsome clock, look closely at the picture and you'll see that's actually brushed metal, not plastic, which comprises the clock frame. Now, one thing I discovered which causes me to reduce a star. The clock display will flicker obnoxiously if it gets in the vicinity of electronics. When I attempted to use my camera phone to take the attached picture, the lighted display kept flashing on and off, until I backed off about five feet. This problem is mentioned in at least one other review although the writer did not seem to know the source of the problem. So, if you can locate the clock a reasonable distance from electrical interference I think it will serve you well.

Awesome night clock
PRO: easy to read (at night), accurate, stylish, quietCON: requires multiple batteriesThis clock was a gift to myself. I wanted something I can see at night (even though I have a clock on nightstand). Also, I just like the light show. It has been running several months on the same batteries, so not sure how long they will last yet. I did NOT want the glowing numbers because honestly, I know where the numbers are on the face and I thought they would give too much light. I can easily read them at night. Strange thing...I noticed the lights blink occasionally, at I found it happens when I turn my TV on (???). I'm sure there's some good reason for it, but it really is minor and goes away. Recommend.

Flawed design
I'll start off by saying I've wanted a product like this for a long time, I just never thought anyone made them. I was very pleased to discover this, and it has fit my needs perfectly. The sad thing is they have some form of a design flaw, they flicker like mad, I've only had mine for a 35 days ... and its the lighting is already starting to fail. Both lights flicker very frequently, and the white min hand has gone out a few times only to come back later.Several reviews have mentioned this, its too common to be one off, I believe it effects most if not all these. As someone very sensitive to light while trying to sleep I always covered my alarm clock, and I used my phone for an alarm. It made owning an alarm clock pointless, even at the dimmest setting this alarm clock could easily illuminate my room.It seems like something stupid, but truthfully after many nights of covering it up I found I sleep easier without it shining directly in my face. So I bought this clock, I set it to the dimmest setting, I can read it easily (when its fully working), and while it produces some light it isn't noticeable in the room (looking at the walls/ceilings).It does get very bright if you wish to set it on max, but not my need. I love it for it's purpose, extremely satisfied, however functionally its not working well. After 35 days I believe the light is failing, and given that extremely short period of time I have very little confidence in functional life.It will still work as a clock in the day time, but I will not be able to read it at night, putting me back in the same spot I was in. Was slightly worse is the fact I paid close to $25 for this, and upon coming back its marked to $10. Not that much money honestly, but I could have got the original clock, and a back up for when this one fails .. while still spending less.I've had it for 35 days, its been flickering about a week now, given how many others mention this, along with the illumination completely failing I simply can not recommend this as a light up clock. If it was better made/more reliable I would have gladly given it 10/10 however there is a serious problem with these, and it appears they don't care enough to address the issue, and will happily sell faulty units to customers hoping it lasts past the return period.1/10 stars---After giving up on the light completely I've used this as a normal wall clock since. Something has happened to it however, I'm not sure what causes the change or why but to clock is consistently losing time. Not something minor like a few mins a month, I'm having up correct it daily, at first I thought maybe just battery starting to die so I replaced it. That hasn't solved the issue however, the clock is slow, roughly 7-10 mins every 24 hours.I correct the clock, and next night yet again it will be slow, if I ignore it for a few days its off nearly half an hour .. I'm having to correct this clock too often, its defeating the purpose of a clock. What more less can someone expect from a clock than for the time to be fairly accurate. If I don't correct this clock for a month its off by hours ...

No noise, no too bright, not too dark. Love this clock
I bought 3 or 4 different glow in the dark clocks for my small bathroom. This is a very nice clock. No noise. Does use batteries for the glow in the dark hands and the clock but for me small price to pay to be able to see the time without bright lights. The lighting is adjustable.Really well made.Easy to use. AccurateI love this clock, finally! A good one!
