Though by now this may be considered a classic thriller, and a bit outdated it is still unputdownable. The wealth of detail is incredible, and I also love the slightly detached tone of the book.

日本語で読んで面白かったので、英語の勉強用にと思って読んでみました。 level4は初めてでしたが、案外読めるものですね。一応ストーリーは知っていたものの、ここでは終われないと、どんどん読み進めてつい夜更かしを。 ストーリーも、どこを省いたか分からないぐらい詳しくちゃんと書いてあったのですが、ただ一つだけ難点が。フランス人の名前の読み方が分からない。 適当に読みましたが、そこだけ困りました。後は分からないところもなく、面白く、楽に読めました。

Cinquante ans après ce thriller a gardé toute son efficacité, il mérite la relecture. Préface très pertinente de Lee Child.
