Marinette and Adrien live what appears to be a normal life: going to school and dealing with friends, family and growing up. But when the evil Hawk Moth threatens their beloved city of Paris, they transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir, using super powers gained with the help of their magical pets! Hawk Moth is using his evil energy to transform normal people into super villains, so our two heroes need to use all their skills to defeat him! And if that wasn't enough for this super-powered pair to deal with, each of them also has a secret crush on the other... though neither knows the other's secret identity! It will take a lot (friendship, teamwork and skill) to outwit Hawk Moth and keep Paris safe! Review: Ladybug & Cat Noir head to America!! Pound it! - Ok so they are still in Paris, I mean I live in America and I had never heard of Ladybug and Cat Noir before. I discovered her randomly surfing across the Internet and just happened to find a series of the highlights of season 1 and season 2. The clips were tightly edited with trendy music and action without really giving the plots away. I decided to attempt to start the first season but it's not really easy as the descriptions aren't great and there is not an explanation of the products. (Like 1, 2, 3, 4 but not saying which series as their appears to be a spinoff.) If you are interested in giving Ladybug a spin then I recommend purchasing the entire season one and then the entire season two. I have purchased a couple of the dvds twice in my attempt to explore the season but that is fine. In sport of the series I simply give my extras to friends so they can get obsessed with French superheros. Ok. Now for the good stuff. I really enjoy the dvds and they have English dub or French dub with Closed Caption text in English. I find this very interesting as the music selection and voices are very different as they appeal to each market though it's the same animated video. I enjoy it just as much in French as I do in English. (Seems like one of the dvds also had Spanish which was fun as well as I can follow along there too but a French cartoon in Spanish is awesome!) I have only watched the first season completely and I'm starting the second season. It is very easy to watch, entertaining and good for all ages though it's allot of action and at times a couple of dramatic situations which may be a bit much or intense for young children. To me I suspect the target market is teenage and up though younger kids would enjoy it. Me? I'm over 50 and enjoy it as it's great for in the background and the graphics and editing is very nice. If they offered it in Bluray I might start over collecting it. The episodes aren't in order per-say but if you watch an episode of season 1 and then an episode of season 2 you might miss some dialog or plot but it would still be enjoyable. There are a couple episodes like how Marinette gets her powers and kwami but on the dvd that wasn't necessarily the first episode. In the second season she gets more powers and it gets really fun and cool but I don't want to spoil it. If you want a fun, easy and refreshing animated superhero then look no further than Marinette/Ladybug. You can check out the site online to get the story and dive in. (I will likely eventually get all the dvds which will have duplication and I will plot out how to watch them and what to purchase without duplication.) Review: The series is very good. Having a girl as the leader and problem ... - The series is very good. Having a girl as the leader and problem solver is a good change from your typical superhero stories. The stock footage of some bits does get a bit bothersome - The Cataclysm, Lucky Charms, transformation scenes, and the purifying "de-evilizing" scenes - are all reused in every episode. I get it, 3D animation is expensive, but at lease have a couple of different views of the event ready to be rotated into the episodes. The stories are good and Ladybug and Cat Noir both as Marrinette and Adrien are well fleshed out, but each can be dumber than Lois Lane when not noticing who the others secret identity is. Everyone, yes everyone in their class has been turned evil, except them. Adrien and Cat Noir are both allergic to feathers, Ladybug and Marinette both wear their hair the same and have the same robin holding their ponytails. Yes it is a superhero idiosyncrasy that goes back to Superman, the first Superhero, but it is still a stretch on the imagination. Aside from the problems I mentioned the series is good, this is just the first 13 episodes of season 1, the rest are coming out later. The stories are good and the animation is well done. The villains are very creative, the Evillustrator for one, and that it takes place in Paris (The series is from France.) makes it feel different from your typical superhero animated show.

Amazing!!!
This show is AMAZING!!!! LOVE IT!!! It's cute, funny, kinda cartoony and kinda anime fell as well! It's so amazing! PS: To all viewers who are mad that Amazon put two seasons instead of one full season with just 30 episodes, don't sweat it. It's either a mix up or it's because Nickelodeon can only air so many at a time or it's the creator's contract with Nick. For me personally, I like to think of it as "more seasons." It tricks my mind into thinking there are more seasons of the show, even though I know it's all just one season but it's nice to think that way. So please don't give the show a bad review just because of the way Amazon set it up or whoever set it up. And to all the people who bought season two and didn't get the full season, just contact Amazon and tell them what happened. I'm sure they can do something about it. And again, don't give the show such a bad review because of one little mess up! Thanks! :D

Miraculously awesome!
I live this show! Marinette is just adorable and so relatable (other than the super hero alter ego.) It's really a good family show to watch with your kids. It's also just a fun, cute show for anyone. I'm 18 and can't wait for the next episode. The only thing (and I mean the ONLY thing) that I'm not a big fan of is villians. For instance, The Bubbler and The Pigeon Man. I found their characters to be a little too childish. They are just very basic and unappeal villians for my taste. But that doesn't stop me from watching Miraculous! 5 stars!

Great potential if they deliver in the future...
This cartoon is rather groundbreaking for several reasons. 1) From day 1 slotted for international release. With artists from several different countries collaborating to make it possible. 2) Female protagonist designed to be a good role model and strong lead. While they have a male character he is very much placed into the sidekick role and used as comedic relief. But not obnoxiously so. He doesn't overshadow the main female lead. 3) From release has begun to gain a large global following even when it had been only aired in France. It is well written has potential for a good storyline with the starting episodes seeming to be one shots in style and not interconnected but doing a good job of introducing mindsets and characters. If they start to develop a storyline and continuity I can see this show becoming a very big deal. Currently the episode pacing is a bit rushed in areas and the explanation of certain parts of the story are non-existant. If they keep it going in this pattern of one shot episodes with no continuity or overarching plot then I don't see it taking off. Which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. With the slightly rushed pacing and lack of overarching plot there is little actually keeping people interested past 1-2 seasons. If they bring in an overarching plot and stop having such a breakneck pacing in story this show will be very good.

... with the french dub as an option but I'm glad that the English dub is pretty good as well
I really wish that this came with the french dub as an option but I'm glad that the English dub is pretty good as well. (Adrien's VA, Bryce Papenbrook plays Tiz Arrior...Can't unhear! >w<) This is in HD, and it looks great. Just keep in mind that the English release has some differences in order, and while you don't have to watch it in the French order, there are small references that are made here and there (and once the origin episodes come out I would greatly recommend to save those for the end of the season). I love this show a lot and think it's great especially for kids but I enjoy this as a young adult. It's really cute and there are a lot of puns! My only complaints: 1) There's no option to force it to buffer so that it loads in HD, sometimes you'll have to watch through and keep reloading really super crappy pixelated quality 2) Amazon has split season 1 into TWO seasons so that you have to pay double. Like...season 2 hasn't even come out yet, what? I would have bought the DVDs for the better quality and the other dubs if I knew this was going to be the case.

Miraculous! Simply the best!
Miraculous Ladybug is the best cartoon I have seen in a very long time. It's absolutely adorable with a well written story and plot. The people who give it less than 5 stars I don't think understand that the episodes are NOT supposed to be in order so that's why it seems "rushed". I give this show 5 stars but I give Nickelodeon 0! Where are the rest of the episodes, Nickelodeon?! You skip weeks without playing ML, then you change the time slots, and then you take it off indefinitely? WHY? This is such a good show, better than EVERYTHING they play on Nickelodeon. Why get rid of a good thing?! BRING IT BACK!!!! I paid for the season pass and I demand to receive the rest of the episodes!!

So sweet.
These are refreshing shows for kids that have no trash in them. Clever and just fun to watch.

Great DVD for a Great show!
As a fan of the show, and a fan of animation, I'm all about supporting animated shows. Especially when said show stars a female main super heroine! And Miraculous Ladybug doesn't disappoint: It's gorgeously animated, cute, well-thought out, and just super fun. And the DVD is of really great quality! My only complaints are 1) the french subtitles aren't as accurate as I'd like them to be, 2) it doesn't include the whole episodes of season 1, and 3) very little extras. However the episodes it does have are in HD quality, and for the comfort of being able to see it in the comfort of your home, or whenever you'd like, I highly recommend purchasing the DVD! You won't be disappointed at all.

WARNING - ONLY FIRST FEW EPISODES
I have fallen for the Ladybug Fandom and I was anxious to receive my DVD, hoping for the full season. Unfortunately it's only the first episodes (up until Lady WIFI) It doesn't seem like there's a DVD Box of the First Season yet.
