Q: Is it tested on animals?

Nothing on the box indicates the soap has been tested on animals. There are no artificial colors, preservatives are in the soap which is made with all natural ingredients and totally bio degradable. I have used this for over a year and find it a nice soap.

Q: Can this be used as a shampoo?

Ohhhh Yeah! DO IT !!! Since I started using Dudu-Osun as a shampoo, I get a feeling that I can't wait to take a shower after a long day or a workout. It is incredible, how invigorating soap is for your scalp and your skin.

Q: I've read all reviews. Can you please answer why would you get this bar as opposed to the raw blocks? This seems less mess. It doesn't dry your skin?

I thought of using the raw blocks but did not give it much thought afterwards. I don't find the black soap messy because of how I use it. I lather my hands generously, return its soap tray, and then apply the soap accordingly; and repeat as the process as necessary. Also, I find the soap works great applying to a loofa sponge. This soap doesn't dry my skin, it actually make it feel soft and smooth. I find that I don't have to apply as much body lotion as I have to using some other soap products. My sister; however says it does dry her skin.
