Sweet with some warm spiciness- love it!
I bought a sampler of this company's spicier products for my boyfriend for Xmas. We love spice, and I love independently owned companies. I also LOVE this syrup! It's versatile with a wonderful natural maple flavor and a warm but very obvious heat. We used it in Old Fashioneds, put it on homemade jalapeño-cheddar cornbread, and I may or may not have used it in an icing for a bourbon-molé chocolate cake. I highly recommend this syrup, as well as their other spicy condiments. Glad I stumbled upon them!

My second bottle. Perfect to make Old Fashions with a kick. Wished it was just a bit more spicy but it’s great.

Taste sensation
This is delicious! A drop or two delivers a lot of flavor, so this small container lasts a long time. I’m on my 2nd bottle—the 1st lasted 3 years. I was really happy it was still available.

Not spicy, wasn’t sealed.
I ordered this to make cornbread waffles and chicken, with this as a topping. I was very anxious to try this as I love spicy food! It came unsealed. Cap was screwed on, but no seal over or under. How does this pass inspection? Worse, when I tasted it, it wasn’t spicy at all, and it didn’t even taste like good quality maple syrup ! If you like spicy, or even good maple syrup, do not buy this. Some kind of rip off? And obviously no quality control. Very disappointed! Update 2024, I tried the hot honey and extra hot honey. Both very good, and plenty spicy.

Chicken n waffles!
Consistency is perfect! Not too thick you feel like you can't cover what you wanna cover. This is amazing on chicken and waffles! I like hot, so I do wish this was hot and not just a hint of spicy.

Thin and lacking but decent on pancakes.
The syrup is ok, but “spicy” is almost misleading. The syrup is pretty thin, barely a maple flavor as a result. I was super hopeful, so maybe that’s part of the dissatisfaction.
