Much better than carpet
The Caliber Bunk Wrap Kit is a nice upgrade for anyone looking to protect their boat and trailer bunks. The 16 foot roll provided more than enough material to cover both 2x6 bunks on my trailer, and the included end caps gave everything a clean, finished look. Installation was easy with basic tools, and the material wrapped tightly without bunching or stretching unevenly. Once secured, the surface felt durable and slick enough to help the boat slide on and off more smoothly at the ramp. It also gives the trailer a sharp, updated appearance compared to filthy worn carpet. After several launches, itโs holding up well with no signs of peeling or wear, making it an upgrade Iโd recommend to other boat owners.

Installs easily and works well
Excellent installation instructions enabled installation in about 1hr 20min. Tip... lay the cover out in the sun for 19-15 min before installing to take the roll out, so that the cover lies flat. This product worked very well for facilitating the launch and recovery of our 15' aluminum fishing boat.

Easy install. Its a good product comes with good amount of screws for install. Jet ski loads on them easily. Will be ordering more in the future.

Excellent bunk wrap kit, forget carpet!
I have an Old Town 106 powered fishing kayak. I used 8 ft treated 2x4, wrapping them with this kit. Very pleased with how easy it was to put on and how great it works getting my kayak off and on my trailer. The product is rolled and stiff. I first stretched it out flat and put some weight on each end. I used a heatgun and ran it over the length a few times - carefully! This allows it to stay flat and very easy to put on the 2x4s. Definitely buying this again when I need to.

Easy install, great product.
I used these on my Sun Tracker Fishin Barge trailer. It's funny, one of the product images is my exact trailer. My trailer is a 2016 and the wood had rotted already. I live in NM and bought it used out of Kansas where it's more humid. I am not a fan of carpet, though I know it has been used for years (my grandfather did upholstery for a living, so I helped him with a lot of boats growing up). I was pointed in the direction of this product and decided to go with it. My only complaint, why didn't I think of this! I was able to change all of my outside bunk boards at home. I just had to change the two long runners at the lake (pictured) with the boat off the trailer. I know most people will have to do this at the lake. In one of the pictures the bunk is dirty. It is not wear and tear on the wrap. It's dry and dusty where I live. This was actually the first time I had the boat off the trailer since I installed the new wood and wrap. For the installation I changed a few things from the OEM setup. The OEM setup came with lag bolts. I kept losing them on the highway due to the deteriorated wood. I decided to use countersunk carriage bolts this time. Hillman makes an anti-turn washer that I used to keep the carriage bolt from turning. I bought these local hardware store. I couldn't find them here. The same with the bolts. I also used treated lumber from a major retailer. I was told that the chemicals used in treated wood today do not etch aluminum anymore. That's a bonus, but even with these wraps drying so fast and not keeping the wood soaked like carpet, I shouldn't have that problem anyways. I used a drill bit to drill the holes for the 3/8 carriage bolts to go through. After that, I used a 1 1/8 spade bit to make the "recessed" hole for my washer and carriage bolt. You do not want the head of the bolt rubbing your boat bottom. I am adding pictures to help. Once the bolts were installed, follow the directions included for attaching the bunk wrap. My only regret is probably using the galvanized bolts/lock washers/nuts. I probably should have used stainless steel. However, that shouldn't be too hard to change out in the future, as the wraps just unscrew. I hope this helps.
