Solid Wedges
My husband and I Haven't tried these yet but they arrived as advertised and are made of a much stronger plastic than anticipated. We compared the weight and feel of the 5.5" to an identical wedge made by a well known manufacturer ; they are identical- weight, feel, ridges, everything. Definitely worth the few dollars. The mesh bag is cheesy but at least it comes with something to keep it all together in a gear bag or truck-box etc. Throw 2 of these in a small bag with a hatchet or small sledge and you have a solid little wedge kit cheap.

Great buy for the price
I've been cutting on a very large hickory tree, 3ft plus. I wanted some longer & thicker wedges. I've used 2 and 3 lb hammers to drive these in and they've held up very good. Years ago I watched a friend cutting a large tree trunk on the ground and was using metal wedges. Part way through he had to stop for fuel and put on a different chain. Chain was a brand new quality factory chain. He had just started to cut when the saw bucked up, hit the metal wedge and the chain broke. Fortunately he hit the brake and the chain stopped. This is why it's SMART to use CHEAP plastic wedges. Plastic wedges won't break chains and possibly cause serious injury. Again, I'll say, these are great for the price.
