Deluxe Pomade By Dapper Dan, Medium Hold Medium Shine, No Greasiness Or Flakiness, Citrus & Vanilla Fragrance 100ml

As a big fan of "O' Brother Where Art Thou?" I just had to get this product. I wanted the Red tin, but I prefer a shinier finish and medium hold. The product works amazingly, looks great when combed, and stays in all day. Even if you're not big into styling, a little pomade goes a long way to prevent excess frizz, "poofiness," or curls. This particular pomade smells incredible, I should add. My only real complaint is the price. You can often find many other pomades for far less. Heck, you can even make some for pretty cheap too. (Update Nov. 9, 2015: This product is still going strong. I use Dapper Dan pomade about 3 times a week, maybe more. Sometimes I use a little, sometimes I use a lot. One tin has lasted me 5+ months, and probably will last nearly 2+ months more. I should note, I DO have short hair, so long hair might need to buy more often. This product still dazzles my nose with its scent; I hope they never change it!)

Did Dapper Dan exist before O, Brother, Where Art Thou? I don't rightly know. What I do know for sure is that I've tried an incalculable number of hair jellies to try to keep my coiffure in order, and none of them have been perfect. This one isn't either, but it's darn close. I have thin, wavy hair, so I need a hair product that has a good amount of hold, shine, and pliability without being heavy or oily. A tight spot to be in. Most pomades are either too sticky or too oily, and most other hair pastes/clays/creams hold too strongly or don't provide enough shine and definition. Dapper Dan is just about right in the sweet spot. Applied to dry hair, it lets you mold and style pretty well without fighting you, and has a medium amount of shine. I imagine that using more, or using on damp hair would work for pompadors and "tight" styles, but that's not what I do. Only problem is once dry, it turns a little bit more crispy than I like. I don't recommend trying to re-shape it too much after it's dried. From the tin, it's translucent and orangey-yellow, and indeed, has a pleasin' odor. Citrusy, almost orange soda-like. It's easy to work with and easy to rinse off your hands. You can wash it out of your hair without using shampoo if you like. You get a good amount in this tin that should last you a while if you don't go nuts with it. One thing to mention: The tin itself seems to be made out of the thinnest possible aluminum on the market. It arrived pretty dented and banged up. Doesn't affect the product, just makes it look like you bring your hair treatment with you everywhere you go.

This stuff smells like freshly squeezed mandarin oranges. It holds well though the day and isn't overpowering. Solid buy.

Great smell and no flaking like cheap gel. Holds hair in place very well. The key is to rub it in your hands to soften it up before applying. Would recommend.

I liked the products hold and smell. The product is good! Did not like the tin! slippery in hands, and how many twists do you need to close this thing??? 1/2 or 1/4 turn jar would be better. Not buying again because of the tin it's in! I know its petty but it's the little things and attention to detail that separate you from a saturated market.

I've only recently gotten into styling my hair with any regularity, and originally got this on a lark after hearing George Clooney go on about being a "Dapper Dan man" in O Brother Where Art Thou. Ended up being a great purchase. It's very easy to use, perfect for styling short to medium length hair, and even has a pleasant scent. Highly recommend.

La uso ormai da tempo, ottima per capelli corti perché mantiene bene l'acconciatura senza lasciare residui, durante la giornata basta bagnarsi un po' le mani e si rimodella benissimo.. Con capelli un po' lunghi tende però a non mantenere l'acconciatura a lungo, ha inoltre un profumo veramente buono.

Sehr angenehmer Geruch, deutlich weicher als andere Pomaden mit mittlerer Härte (vergleichbar mit Schmiere, jedoch nicht so klebrig) leicht einzuarbeiten und umzuformen, aber dennoch wetterstabil. Der angenehme, fruchtige, dennoch aber dezente Geruch ist für sich allein schon ein Kaufargument. Farbe: Orange, im Haar farblos Glanz: Mittlere Glanzstufe Tragekomfort: Sehr angenehm Rückstände an den Händen: Minimal Gleich nach der ersten Anwendung ist es meine neue Lieblingspomade geworden. Jedenfalls eine Empfehlung für Liebhaber.

Holds hair in place absolutely well, not too oily and easy to apply. I’ve used Uppercut and Suavecito and this is miles better and cheaper
