Slice Slim Pen Cutter, 1 Pack, Manual Blade Stays in Position

I have had this item for 2 years and I absolutely love it although it really is only good for opening packages. When I first purchased this in 2022, I had recently moved and this was tremendously helpful in opening my boxes of personal items along with items I ordered online. For packages, it is so much better than scissors and it fits perfectly in a small purse. A few months ago, I moved again and this was perfect. In this recent move, I had to put some of my items in storage and it really helps as I often had to open and reseal boxes if I needed to retrieve something from storage. This slice tool paired with a roll of packing tape (with a dispenser attachment) are your best friends if you have items in storage. I am even purchasing another one. The only con: This is a very dull blade. If you receive packages that are double sealed with tape (such as those that are shipped internationally), this blade may take a few hard strokes before it pierces the tape. It's not terrible, just cumbersome. I wouldn't consider this bad enough to not recommend the product because I rarely receive such packages and the overall pros of this slice tool far outweigh this issue. If you open a lot of packages, it's better to have a dull blade that opens most packages easily and would never cut you or the product inside. Perfect if you have kids too.

I’ve been using this pen cutter for about 3 weeks. First, I’ll talk about its safety features. The pen cutter description was not lying at all about being safe. I tried dragging the blade against my hand and nothing happened. Second, does the pen cutter work? Yes, it works really well! I cut open multiple types of packagings, ranging from taped boxes to padded envelops. This pen cutter was able to open every single one of them with ease. I actually feel that the pen cutter works better than my old box cutter. The blade feels more stable as it doesn’t wobble like my old box cutter. I’ve read some comments by others that it’s difficult to open a box by slicing from the middle of a box. Those comments said you need to slice the pen cutter from one edge of the box to the other edge because of the blade’s blunt tip. I didn’t find this to be true at all. I’ve been able to open boxes from any starting location. Is there something I’d like to change with this pen cutter? I think the slide button could be better. I noticed that you have to push the back portion of the slider button to move the blade (the slider button is long, so the front portion would be near the blade tip and the back portion would be near the opposite side of the blade tip). If you press the front portion of the slider button, it doesn’t seem to move the blade. Maybe this is another safety feature? I don’t know. But I regularly try to move the slider button by pressing the front portion and fail. Overall, I highly recommend this pen cutter. I was very skeptical about its features, but I am blown away by the safety features and the blade’s function.

Nice little cutter. Lightweight, easy to slip in and out of a pocket. I have not cut myself once in a year of use. The blade is slightly chipped in places now, but still cuts fine. I bought it to help alleviate my wrist pain from using dull metal work blades. This is definitely easier on my wrist. If I lose it, I will buy another. Edit: November 2025. Cutter is still working fine. I'm just here to order replacement blades. I figure it's probably time for a new blade, as it's a little harder now to cut cardboard boxes and packing tape than it used to be, after four years of constant use at my job. My wrist is so much better as well, due to using a box cutter I can control like a pen instead of having to drag it in a curving motion like the company-issued, wrist-damaging box cutters. I love this little cutter. :)

I barely got through one blade the the open/close mechanism is broken. Most of the time to get it to work I have to take the top off where you change the blade. Disappointing that a major selling point of this is that it lasts a lot longer than a traditional box knife. Well the blade certainly do, but the cutter itself does not.

It’s really safer compared to my usual metal box opener however also less sharp. Personally I like the safety feature however be prepared to push harder or double the number of repeated cuts. I now use it as my standard however I keep the old one nearby. It is more expansive for sure.

My main reason for purchasing the slice was to use in colored pencil work. I am not disappointed. Creates the illusion of fur with fine lines through the layers of colored pencil. Highly recommend.

Ça ben de l allure à moi de l apprivoiser . Les premiers essais son pas évident . Essaie-le sur autre feuille avant de faire sur ton dessin avec de l expérience s est plus fun et plus sécurisant.

Used for 1st time last night. Works very well. Recommended. Is it not possible to get it exempted from the government/Royal Mail's knife-checking nonsense? Caused an enormous hassle and delays for me - and it's hardly lethal: indeed that is part of the reason it has a ceramic blade: my dinner fork is far more lethal.
