Stair Armor fits loosely over the stair. Each sheet is 34" wide and has scores across the product so you can easily fold down over a stair bullnose and up over a stair riser. There is a piece of foam tape on the back going across the product. The foam tape doesn't have adhesive to stick to a stair, it's function is to provide additional traction between the stair and Stair Armor when pressure is applied. These are sold as a pack of six individual Stair Armor pieces.

Will this work with painted stairs without damage? We need something that will protect stairs from drain machines being hauled up and down them.

Ram Board Stair Armor is a great product to protect a variety of hard surfaces. In many cases Ram Board is used to protect finished surfaces including painted surfaces. Ram Board Stair Armor will most likely work in your application. Yes Stair Armor is recyclable. We recommend separating the foam and clear PE tapes from the paper and recycling the paper.
