Got a set of these years ago and, together with plastic lids, they have been the BEST things I’ve ever bought on Amazon. And that’s out of more than 1000 purchases! Why are they so great? Because I’m handicapped and walk unsteadily with a cane. If I use my free hand to carry a drink in an open container, I’ll spill half of it. With lids, the drinking jars not only don’t spill, they DON’T BREAK. I’ve dropped them full and empty on carpeted floor, laminate floor, and tile floor—everything but bare cement—and they just bounce. I haven’t broken a single one of them. Because they are glass, they don’t absorb anything you put in them or release harmful chemicals. And they are easy to keep sparkling clean. And if you don’t need a full set of drinking jars, you should buy them anyway, because they take all kinds of Mason jar lids that you can buy on Amazon, Etsy, etc. That includes some lids with coin slots that allow you to use the jar as a coin bank. And others with criss-cross wires for cut flowers, so the jar becomes a little flower vase, etc. And filled with bright-colored candies or Christmas ornaments these jars make good holiday decorations. With the colorful plastic lids now available, they make an excellent gift for that senior who has everything. Give them the whole box or just a few jars. Or give each person at the office one jar with a bright colored ribbon and something attractive inside, like home-made white chocolate peppermint bark. So you will find a use for every single one of these drinking jars. Buy them and you’ll see.

Good looking glasses. Much like the older ones but made a bit lighter(about 2 ounces). While I would much prefer the older ones, it’s been hard to find any and these are an excellent substitute for them. This many will likely last me a lifetime!

I looked everywhere before I bought these drinking jars off amazon. They had the best price and more importantly the cheapest shipping rate! Every other website I found them on they were charging more for the shipping than the actual cost of the jars. We ordered 8 cases so shipping was a major cost to consider. The $7.50 shipping cost was for all 8 cases, not a per case rate!! I actually called Shoplet's customer service just to make sure the price was for all of the cases not per case. Their customer service rep was very polite and also gave me an expected arrival date for the package. The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was that Shoplet does not provide tracking. We used them as favors at our wedding, they fit perfectly since we got married on a farm! The jars are very cute and are made of sturdy, heavy glass. We kept four of them for our own use and we love them. My husband wasn't keen on the rooster image on them at first but once they came in he ended up really liking them. We ordered 8 cases and of those 8 cases only 5 jars were broken. We had actually expected more to arrive broken so we ended up with extra. The jars also arrived very quickly, I bought them only two weeks before our wedding and had them within 5 days. Again for only $7.50 in shipping! In short - the best deal I could find on really cute, sturdy drinking jars with fast, cheap!! shipping.

First off, if you're comparing glasses, these are the way to go. I am a researcher myself, and I must have looked for these jars everywhere for my upcoming wedding. The price for these mason jars are great, especially with the free shipping that is included. Other sites may have cheaper jars, but their shipping costs make them much more expensive. Trust me, stick with these. My fiance ordered 8 cases (96 jars) for our wedding. The jars were projected to arrive between the 21st and the 24th, and they were brought to my doorsteps on the 21st.. About 5 days after they were ordered. Great timing! The jars arrived in 2 very large cardboard boxes and were packaged quite well. I have not came across any cracked or chipped jars thus far. The jars themselves are of great quality. They seem to be made of very thick and sturdy glass. I will say that they certainly seemed smaller than I anticipated, but these glasses will be used in our wedding as drink cups, so they will do just fine. The handles are a great touch (and are also sturdy), and the image on the front is perfect for our theme and is certainly legible. Overall, I am very happy with our purchase, and I believe they will be a great conversation piece in our wedding. If you so choose, a small piece of twine can be tied around the top of the glasses for a nice touch. They could even be used for wedding favors if you're looking for a functional and cost effective route. Don't go with a cheaper jar and *hope* they work. Go ahead, order these, and knock one more thing off of your to-do list.

I purchased these glasses after many hours of searching the internet for an affordable way to decorate the main tables for my wedding in July. I really wanted some Redneck Wineglasses, but they were outrageously priced. I purchased this entire case of glasses, candlesticks from the dollar store and epoxy from another store and made them myself for half the price of sellers everywhere. These glasses are perfect for that use, or any other use you may have a need for them. Lemonade, iced tea, soda glasses. They're large and the handle is easily used, even by large handed folks like my husband to be! Update: After much use at the wedding I wanted to let everyone who reads the review know that these glasses are durable and held up well even as "wine glasses" at my wedding. They were a super big hit with all the guests and the wedding party with whom they were gifted to. Many people used them and they held up well, even after being dropped full of liquids. Great item!
