A truly great-tasting pea protein powder at an unbelievably low price!
Much like my adventures in trying pre-made pea protein drinks, finding a similarly, well-made and fine tasting product led me to try Anthony's Pea Protein. I was already familiar with Anthony's products having purchased their Acacia Senegal powder which I mix with water and juice to calm my IBS (Irritable bowel Syndrome). If you 're having issues with either constipation or diarrhea (or both), Acacia Senegal powder is what you need to be taking. People with IBS cannot tolerate soy or milk products and that is the reason why pea protein is an ideal substitute for whey and milk-based protein powders. I had been buying a different brand of pea protein powder up until few months ago when the seller no longer stocked it, which is why I went looking for a suitable replacement. My three requirements were (1) good tasting with none of the gritty and harsh consistency of other powders, (2) thoroughly and easily mixable with almond or cashew milk, and (3) sizable quantity at a sizable savings. Anthony's Pea Protein met all three with flying colors. I make my shakes in a 14-speed Hamilton Beach blender that I bought at Wal-Mart for under $20. Besides being inexpensive, what I like about this blender is its self-cleaning function: you fill it with water and press the button marked "Self Clean," rinse and repeat two more times and you're done. I fill the blender with either organic spinach or kale and add about a cup of unsweetened almond milk. I run the blender on PULSE for a few times until the greens start to get chopped up then push the SMOOTHIE button to liquefy it. I remove the center cap and pour in two cups of Wyman's frozen Wild Blueberries ( which have 2x the antioxidants of regular blueberries and a 3lb bag costs me $13) . After letting that liquefy, I then drop in a ripe organic banana. Sometimes I add other fruit like strawberries or a honey mango but usually it's just the blueberries and banana. Lastly, I take a measuring cup that was left over from my last container of whey protein, fill it to the brim with Anthony's pea protein and carefully but quickly pour it into the blender. If I had to name the only downside to using this protein is that the powder is extremely fine - like the consistency of baby powder. If you're not careful, you'll be wearing some of it. What I've done when the contents get low is to cut off the excess top of the bag so that I don't have to navigate the scoop up and out of a tall bag. Since that also cuts off the resealable strip, I use a chip clip (or any spring-loaded plastic or metal clip will also work) to keep the bag tightly closed. I let the blender run on MIX which is like the 2nd lowest setting for about 30 more seconds before stopping the blender and pouring it into one of the containers left over from my Ninja Bullet blender that died a year ago. I forgot to mention that the powder does not have any flavor of its own, so keep that in mind when you make your smoothies. You might wish to add some sweetener to it which I do if I'm using kale as my greens. That's another thing worth noting. I buy Erythritol which is the only sugar alcohol (stuff that end in "ol" like Sorbitol, Mannitol, Xylitol, etc.) that is not metabolized in the colon. In fact, very little winds up in there having first been processed by the liver and kidneys. This is also why it's a safe artificial sweetener to use...in moderation. Here's the product that I buy on Amazon. A 3lb bag costs only $14.99: Erythritol Sweetener Natural Sugar Substitute 3lb - Granulated Low Calorie Sweetener High Digestive Tolerance Suitable for Diabetes Keto and Paleo - Baking Substitute Non GMO https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079X4G97G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great protein for the price
I love this plant based protein it is by far the highest quality pure pea protein without anything added for the cheapest price. I love to add this to my smoothies because it doesn’t change the texture of the smoothies like whey protein does. It blends well and in something that has fruits and veggies in it already you can barely taste it, so it is far worth the little bit of weird taste for the protein. Something I love to make with this is protein pancakes. I just do one scoop protein, 1.5 scoops flour, a tablespoon of baking powder, and soy milk until it is the right texture. I top with peanut butter and maple syrup and fruit and it’s always delicious. As a vegan, it is really nice to have some supplemental protein because as it is easily possible to get enough protein, it’s hard with sweet breakfasts and I am a big sweet breakfast person so this helps me out a lot!

Very good
A good amount of protein powder for the price. It tastes like pure pea protein which I really like because I’m not a fan of all the additives in other protein powders. The flavor is very mild so it’s easy to mix with smoothies or oatmeal. I just drink it with water to get my daily dose of protein in the morning, but it’s easy on the stomach so long as you don’t take too much at once on an empty stomach.

Solid protein powder at a great price, but not exactly "unflavored", so just be aware.
The macros are great, it mixes well, it is "unflavored" as in no specifc added flavor, but it definitely has a taste to it. If you don't mind a bit of an earthy flavor peeking through, this is a great buy. If you want a truly zero flavor protein, this isn't it. I'd buy this again since the pros outweigh the cons for me.

Went Dairy free / Great for smoothies
I am absolutely loving this protein powder! I have been drinking protein smoothies for several years and it took me awhile to find what I liked that was simple and affordable. I settled on plain whey powder but not after trying some pea protein powders. My biggest issue with pea protein powder was that my smoothies turned out watery (with whey they were fluffy) and the taste was strong. Maybe my taste buds have matured or maybe it’s the fact that I have (SADLY) had to give up dairy and still need my protein smoothies, or maybe it’s because I have a different blender than years ago, but I am LOVING this pea protein powder and I am super happy with it! It’s still not as fluffy as whey, but when I use frozen fruit and a bunch of spinach, it’s pretty thick. Also, it does not have a strong pea protein taste like I remember. I will say that it has an earthy/grainy texture, but it isn’t bothersome to me nor anything that would be a flaw for me, but I know that might be an important piece of info for those new to protein powders or new to the pea scene. For someone who just switched to dairy free, I think this is the best option you can get (at least, if you don’t want a bunch of ingredients in your protein powder). Here’s a basic yummy recipe for a smoothie made in a Ninja: 10 Oz coconut milk (the 45 cal/cup one) 1 cup of pineapple 3 tablespoons of this protein powder 1 teaspoon of Matcha powder 1.5 large handfuls of spinach Very small handful of aronia berries (we have bushes at our house!) Mix and enjoy!

Simply pea protein
I've been using a very popular brand of organic vegan pea protein powder for years, but have decided not to eat any sweeteners for a while, even the natural ones like erythritol. I gave this a try since I've had good experiences with Anthony's spices, and I'm mostly satisfied. The powder is so fine that it is messy when dry, but I suppose that's necessary to make it blend more easily. I find the flavor is somewhat covered when mixed with fruit, like blueberries or banana, but there's still a little earthy undertone. It would taste better sweetened for those who plan to add a sweetener. I haven't tried this in the blender yet, but it is working okay when mixed with almond milk to add protein to overnight oats or vegan "parfaits". It needs to be fully wet and thoroughly mixed to avoid the dry lump/gritty sensation, but I've definitely tried grittier and lumpier powders. I would not expect this to produce a creamy, sweet, delicious shake like my old powder, but it is a cleaner product without the additives and considerably less expensive. It also hasn't given me a tummy ache, which has happened with other vegan protein powders, especially anything "chocolate" flavored. I'll be ordering more.

Little underwhelmed
Doesn't mix well, leaves a grainy texture and leaves a little bit of bitterness

Love this Pea Protein Powder for my Smoothies
Cut to the chase with protein powders. This is a main ingredient in most products. You can make your own protein smoothies by adding a Tablespoon to your own smoothie recipe. Does not have a bad taste.

180mg of Sodium PER SCOOP. A 30g scoop has 180mg of Sodium, or 1/3 of the Sodium in a Big Mac.
This product shouldn't be allowed to be sold as pure pea protein. This is false advertising. They soak the pea in salt and this is extremely unhealthy for you.
