Maybe Baby WILL Git Up Stand Up
There is no way to ignore the late great Rasta Mon's music. For some years, I (THOUGHT) I was in a..."reggae" band...that is, until a tiny, sweet little Bird - maybe Cherub - of a Lady from Jamaica took my hand and sweetly and innocently inquired, "Honey...are you sure it maybe was da ganja?" She was, of course right - a redneck white boy from the south side of Atlanta "playing reggae?" Yeah... Regardless, I was excited - and more than slightly amused to see "Rockabye Baby Productions"turn out a Bob Marley CD - music I could hold my Daughter and - OK, maybe TOO rhythmically - rock her to sleep. "Rockabye" has also "done" the Stones, the Beatles, Zep, Floyd even Queen, and several bands I refuse to dignify by naming - like U2 or Metallica, and loathesome as groups like those last two - it IS a great way to introduce Baby to music that "we" listened to. I just can't wait, frankly, for "Rockabye" to do up a Procol Harum CD - I believe I'll have a complete CD collection, especially now that my favorite group, Big Daddy, is back on the scene.

Baby loves the Wailers
This Rockabye series is pure genius. I was ecstatic when I stumbled upon these when compiling my baby registry. I am still awaiting the U2 album to add to the collection. My boyfriend and I are both Jamaican with discriminating tastes, so we were a bit hesitant as to how a children's singer would do Bob Marley. Luckily, Roofi this is not and the songs on the disc sound nothing like Kidzbop. Instead, the songs are all instrumental and sound like a Bob Marley music box. You may get the same effect if you got some authentic steel pan music for your child to listen to.My little boy loves this cd and I can usually turn it on to calm him down in the mornings between feedings and naps. I read that babies respond well to music they recognize from when in utero, so if there are any artists you listened to before, you should check out these Rockabye versions to add to your collection. My son also loves Corinne Bailey Rae an John Mayer, but you don't need lullabies of everything to create a baby playlist. The CD also comes with "liner notes" which has a cool cut out do it yourself mobile that you can put in your kid's crib. It's cheap but adorable with phrases like "one baby, no cry" and whatnot. Adorable.

Was hoping for something different...
My husband and I are huge Marley fans, so when I saw this, I thought it would be perfect.I don't LOVE it, but I don't hate it.The music is Marley's music, but it's played with a child-like xylophone. An interesting take, but kinda weird at the same time. The "ting tang tong" of the xylophone takes away from laid-back, rasta feel that is true to all of Bob's music. Don't get me wrong, it's fun and playful, but we were looking for something more... relaxing/soothing; something that could be played while the little one slept. I play this during bath-time - perfect for splashing and winding down.Overall, I like it the CD, just not what I was expecting as far as "lullaby". :)

Too repetitive
Actually, this cd is like buying Bob Marley's LEGEND, but for your kids. It's really good, because it does what is meant to do: put your babies (and sometimes yourself) to sleep. But if you know the songs, you get frustrated when you listen to the same song, repeated 3 times, instead of making them simple, so they could add even more songs. Let me explain myself: when you listen Buffalo Soldier, when you think that the song will be over, it begins again, and again, and again.Overall, the TOOL cd is the best, and I got 4 of these.

We LOVE the Rockabye Baby
We LOVE the Rockabye Baby! series. The Bob Marley CD did not disappoint. A person can only listen to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star so many times without feeling like throwing the CD player through the window and into the yard (or maybe that's just me!) Having the familiar sounds of Mr. Marley in the background helps keep my sanity and is soothing enough for nap time or just as background noise during the day. We will continue to be customers of Rockabye Baby!

So AWESOME!!!
I not only loved the idea of this when I heard of it, but it is perfect. I have a 2 yr old girl who loves to dance with me and now I love to sing her lullabies for songs I love too. Also, I ordered these 2 cds on the 22nd and received them the next day! I dont know how this was possible but I got an estimated delivery of three days & BOOM, they were right there the next day! If you like good music or alternative or just anything off the beaten path, they probably have a lullaby rendition for your future "cool" little one!!!

Bubs loves this CD, and so do I!
Bubs loves this CD, and so do I! I was given the Metallica Lullaby CD as a baby shower present (which is excellent, too), so have bought a few others in this series (I don't really rate the Beach Boys one, & the MJ CD is probably 3.5 stars IMO).. Bubs listened quietly to this one & went to sleep, & slept for the entire CD! Awesome! Right on, mon! :)

This will help any Baby or Adult relax and calm down
This CD is amazing! I heard about it from a girlfriend who swears with puts her baby right to sleep, and she loved it as well. So I purchased one for my sister's new baby and for my self, and I listen to this while relaxing in the bath tub, after a stressful day at work, or while sunbathing! My sister also says it works like a charm on settling down her babies!

Great renditions of Bob Marley for baby
This CD has really cute renditions of Bob Marley classics for baby. I would say this would be the best Rockabye CD to get if you buy any. When I was pregnant I thought for sure this would be used all the time but once baby was here you find what works for you and I didn't find that this was the best sleep aid for a regular routine. I realized that I didn't want my son to get used to specific music for naps or bedtime as then that could become a habit and would mean I would have to have these always on hand. I found white noise the best.I do like that I have this music downloaded to my phone so if I need some calming sounds for a car ride I can play it via Bluetooth. It's definitely cute. I just bought a few cds and really I didn't need to.
