Easy to Install, Works Great
My dog wrecked the old foam based weather strip and I bought a new foam based one at Home Depot; however, the Home Depot weather strip would fall out whenever you opened the door. I found this all-rubber one at Home Depot but they only had it in black and I wanted the white so I ordered from here. The strip was really easy to fit, just slides into the jamb, you cut the excess off and it's all done. It's been in a few weeks now and hasn't fallen out and there is no light coming through the jamb so it looks like it's working. Note: this is not adhesive, it fits in a groove built into your door jamb.

Worked great. Made a huge difference during a very cold winter. My house is 30 years old and has some original weatherstripping. I replaced it around the front door and the walkout door and immediately noticed a difference in the lack of draft and the temperature in the inside areas near those doors. I would give it a 5 except that it is so thick and substantial that I was unable to mount it on the hinged side of either door. When I did that I was unable to close the doors (and they are both metal doors so no expansion problems due to temperature). So I had to leave the old stuff on that one side or replace it with something thinner. It was also very easy to work with. It fits easily into the slot in the frame and cuts easily with a pair of scissors.

Insulating, not very long
Fits cleanly into the slot on my doorframe, providing much better insulation and wind blocking than old, previous version. Recommend measuring your door frame to understand how much youโll need โ I didnโt get enough, and in the end it wound have taken 3 of these 84โ lengths to fully replace around three sides of my door.

Good product with some possibility to adjust thickness (important for some)
First, surely it is ONLY for those who have a groove around the door frame for this type of insulation. Also, consider that there is one stripe of the material for one side of a standard door. You will need to buy three of those for one standard door or five for two doors (one stripe should be enough for two short upper sides, at least for my doors). So, if the above is agreeable - this is what I have to say on the product: The material is just soft enough to be somewhat compressible, and part of the compressibility is in the "coiled" construction itself. So I expect it to last better than soft sponges do. The big deal for me is the possibility do adjust thickness of insulation by easily inserting a thin and cheap sponge stripes sold in any hardware store in rolls of various thickness and width. This is a big deal of advantage if the distance left for insulation between the door frame and the door is not the same all around. I cut from the sticky soft sponge stripes narrow stripes to fit the inner side of the insulating "coil" and inserted just in those places where I needed better contact. Easy, quick. Also, you may take that sponge out just unfolding and then re-folding the folds. Do not expect to double the thickness this way, but for some adjustments, when and if your situation requires it, this is a great product I was looking for. True, now is June and I just installed it - so the big test is far ahead. But, on the other hand, I see what it is and the actual result depends on construction you have, on the application of the right product for the situation AND then on the quality of the product. I just removed a very nice different type of insulation material, which was of good quality, but not reaching far enough, thus doing a very bad job. Just a couple of millimeters gap - and a draft in Winter is guaranteed... So, assess you situation and see if this is right for you.

Recieved today and put on door. This particular door ...
Recieved today and put on door. This particular door has a massive ~1/2 inch gap when closed, so I was really hoping this would fit. In spots, it does, BARELY. In some spots, it seems indented just a tad bit to where it doesnt meet the door. This may cause problems on the bottom where the garage roaches will probe around and probably end up in the kitchen. So basically, I think the quality of this "Platinum" labelled product should've been higher. It doesn't seem to have a consistent width all the way up. Important note: If you have a significantly smaller gap than 1/2 inch, you probably won't even be bothered by the inconsistency.

The Perfect Solution to my Problem!
This weather-stripping worked great for me! I needed to weather-proof the exterior door to my deck but the cheap adhesive-backed stripping from the big-box hardware was useless. We have several dogs who go in and out the door and, when they do, their bodies just peel the stripping off. My door has a kerf; so I thought I'd try it. It's a lot more expensive than the cheap weather-stripping but it's worth it! I had to order three packages of it because one package is enough to do only one side of the door. The first strip went in one side like a breeze and the top strip did too. The last strip was a bit more of a problem until I discovered I was trying to fit in backwards. I flipped it over and it went in smoothly, just like the first two. The dogs continue to go in and out the door but this weather-stripping stays in, anchored by the part that goes into the kerf. I'm going to order more to install on my garage door; so I highly recommend it!

Good product
Replaced the 12 year old weather stripping that was around our front entry door; that product was a cloth over foam and i wanted to try something different (old cat clawed holes in the fabric of the one I replaced). This installed easily and the kinks from how it is packaged have worked their way out since installation. I can't vouch for longevity and probably won't remember in 10 years to revisit this review; if it fails before then, like in the next 3 years, I certainly will report back to downgrade. I like how it is functioning. I wish they would sell a shorter version for the top of the door or add enough length for a typical 3' wide door...or even a roll that has enough length for both sides and the top....but they don't. I also wish for world peace and an ice cold diet mountain dew waiting for me at work when I arrive in the morning and neither of those has happened yet either.

After wasting money in hardware store trying to find a similar product and raging at finding only problem alternative, I finally tried this one on amazon (last resort for me). Happily, this was exactly what I was looking for. Product was of great quality, although I felt there was not a high quantity of it for its price. Took seconds to install, did the job, feels robust.

The weatherstrip arrived in retail packaging and was as described. The door jamb opening was a bit tight so had to use a paint stir stick ahead of the stripping to widen the gap and slide it in on an angle. Afterward, I used a soft mallet to tap the strip in fully for a tight fit.

t is not available in retail stores, so I can only buy it online. It suits my needs, but I have to buy three at a time. It would be best if I could buy only one

After reading other reviews I was worried that install wouldnโt be straightforward, but it was super easy. Took maybe 5 minutes. There were creases made by the packing, but they went away shortly after install.
