UNICEL C-7656 Pool/Spa cartridges are the best way to go. Using them for a long time. Excellent quality and a good price. Can be rinsed several times & reused if not too clogged, old or damaged. Recommend this brand to anyone using pool /Spa cartridges. Ordered and delivered almost next day! Love this brand.

Located this pool filter cartridge at Amazon and ordered online. Arrived a few days later (selected free shipping but it still arrived 3 days later) and was very pleased with the quality. Installed it in my pump filter unit and it has worked very well. Bought my previous cartidge at a local pool store for 2.5X the cost. Wish I had known about this then! A word of wisdom for new pool owners like myself (actually a new home owner with an old pool). Most pools built today have DE filter units, not a cartridge. A cartridge unit is definitely old technology. To increase the particle trapping ability of the cartridge (DE is much more efficient) you should add DE or Pur-Fiber to the skimmer. It will get taken up and coat the filter making it more efficient at trapping small particles like algae. I learned the hard way!
