How long is the charge?

That depends entirely on level of beam intensity , and strength of charge ,I have found on mid setting,I can go for the best part of 3-4 days before charge needs rebuilding

How to know if the battery is charging properly? Is it the green or red light?

If it's a first charge of I found leaving it on charge for a longer than stated time , helps with acclimatising or conditioning new batteries
