Are these 10/32 threads?

I thought they were but there are not 10/32 threads. Do you know if this batch is bad or what? The 4U I bought was 10/32 but the two 6U ones were not 10/32 threading

Can the 12u mounts be cut down into (3) 4u pieces without running into any issues?

Yes as long as you cut the same hole distance to end on all 3 pieces. I cut the ends off mine to fin in my network shelving.

What is the diameter of the holes used to actually mount the rails themselves?

The rails are slightly oversized to accommodate for inconsistency and adjustment but they are fully compatible with the standard rack system that most companies follow.

what type of screws are needed to both mount the rails to an enclosure and mount the gear to the rails? Are cage nuts needed too?
