Very functional and well made Z-Wave remote switch
If you have used the Luton Caseta Pico remotes, these Zooz Z-Wave remotes are very similar in terms of size and functionality. Primary difference is the Z-Wave functionality and mapping of the buttons you can set. There's a standard faceplate and uses magnets to stay in place within the faceplate if you want to use the remote as a replacement for a 3-Way switch. I've always appreciated the simplicity of the Lutron Caseta Pico remotes and being able to install them into wall switch location and quickly changing your single pole switch into a 3-way or more switch just using software. This Zooz switch allows you to do the same thing or just use it as a mult-functional Z-wave remote. Of all the 3 way smart switches out there for Z-wave, I think this is the most elegant solution. Remote Switch was easy to pair with Hubitat and was identified quickly (click the top button 6x to enter pairing mode), button assignments were quick and easy, and is able to work with my other Z-wave switches seamlessly. There are two batteries, so will monitor the battery life, but it's been great to see something like this for Z-wave. Quality of the plastics and construction appear to be good quality. Thus far, very pleased with the purchase and will buy another one.

Excellent Z-Wave battery powered switch
Easy to include into my network and very responsive (using Home Assistant). I like the optional wall mount but I have these sitting on the nightstands of our bedrooms. Multi-tap works great. Battery life so far seems good. Quite configurable for what they are. Haven't had a bad product yet from Zooz and their support is top notch. I have 4 of these on my network and every single one has been great.

Incredible smart switch!
I have tried a few other switches/buttons with my SmartThings hub and none of them were very good. They either disconnected constantly, died much too quickly, or took so long to communicate that I could have just spoken to Alexa or even opened the app on my phone. This one, however, is a game changer! It took a bit to get it set upโI had to go through the pairing process a couple of times but 3 months later and it hasnโt dropped connection or missed a command once! It works literally every time and the double, triple, and hold press all work flawlessly! Plus, itโs fast! For me it very rarely takes more than a second for my lights to fade on. Thereโs a fair amount of customization but Iโm honestly just happy to be able to turn my things on and off with a switch and not some janky button. I will for sure be getting the hardwired switches when I move!

Works Fine, With a Few Quibbles
So far, so good. Joined ZWave in Home Assistant easily. I do have a few minor annoyances: The unit is very difficult to reassemble after changing the batteries. The magnet holding the button to the switch plate could stand to be stronger, and the protective plastic on the rocker left a residue that took some effort to remove cleanly. The worst of these for sure is closing the case.

I love lamp, and so does this switch
I rarely write reviews but Iโm very pleased with this, so Iโm writing day 1: I use z-wave plug switches power my lamps for ambient lighting in rooms (I hate harsh overhead recessed can lights, even with low kelvin bulbs). Bought this switch to control said plug switches by way of my Hubitat Elevation model C-7 running platform version 2.3.5.152. I am pleased with the result in terms of function for 3 reasons: 1) Now I donโt have to tell my voice-activated smart home devices to turn off the lights, I can simply tap the switch on my way out. 2) intuitive for visitors in my guest room, which lets them/me disable the voice based device for privacy peace of mind. 3) robust programming flexibility: via Hubitat button controller app, I can program actions for FOUR actuations of EACH switch direction (up or down) for a total of 8 possible programs! 1) press, 2) hold, 3) double-tap, and 4) releaseโฆ x2. I set mine so the press turns on or off (for each respective button), hold will pause (for 48 hours) rules that turn lights off or on based on a motion sensor, and double-tap resumes said rules. No action for release, but I could see it being used to have some light on only while holding the button down then turn off on releaseโฆ or actuating a motor for smart blinds. As for the device itself: Feels like a solid, quality build and sleek modern appearance blends well with modern paddle switches. Be cautious, it could differ from your switches and/or switch plates, so if you care about that you might need to swap those switches, get a new plate, put on a wider plate (not sure if practical while keeping old gang box), or accept some mismatch. One gripe: Took a couple tries to pair, had to exclude to remove it then re-add, but it ultimately worked and I canโt for certain blame the device and not myself.

Works great, happy with my purchase.
My application was for an in-garage switch for an overhead light that was already on a wired z-wave switch at the other end inside. There is a magnet on the back of the switch that keeps it attached to the provided plate and I was somewhat worried it would fall off. It is secure and no issues there. Now, inside the garage when I press up once it turns on the garage light. I also have it set when I press up twice, it opens the garage door. There is a noticeable delay but it is acceptable. I disconnected/capped off a 3 way end switch to place this over it to have multiple functions in one switch. You can have it do different things when you press up a different number of times and when you press down. I use it on smartthings and handler integration is pretty easy if you are familiar with that process. Alexa recognized it on smartthings immediately and voice commands and routines were easy to setup. Very Happy with the product and will likely purchase more in the future.

Battery hogs
I really hate writing negative reviews, but two things made this button not work for me: #1. The batteries kept going dead and I got exasperated with changing batteries - I'm talking about a lifespan of about a month or two with little to no use. #2. On one of the switches, when I replaced the battery, the switch completely malfunctioned. Let me anticipate your question - no, I didn't put the batteries in backward. I simply took out the dead batteries and replaced them with new batteries and the light started blinking on and off and the switch no longer functioned. At that point, I gave up on these switches, installed wired switches as dummy switches and programmed Hubitat to turn on the master scene from their input. If I had no choice, maybe I would try these again, but since I had power at the locations, now I don't have to worry about batteries anymore. But the three buttons I purchased are going in the garbage - and it's a bummer because I hate to see the waste. I really wanted these buttons to work, but in the end, I felt compelled concede that they simply are not a usable product - at least for me. I'll also clarify - I am usually a fan of Zooz - I have lots of other products from their Z-wave line.

Works well with home assistant
I'm running Home Assistant and I have some lights on my patio I'm controlling via a z-wave outlet. Unfortunately the motion sensor on the patio doesn't like Colorado winters, so I needed a physical switch for them too. This was perfect - I screwed the base plate onto the wall next to the patio door and it looks just like any other wall switch, except since it mounts magnetically, if we go outside we can take the switch with us so we don't have to come inside to turn the lights on and off. I have it connected to ZwaveJS and once I paired it, it just showed up in Home Assistant like any other device. One tiny caveat - the plastic face plate it came with was just a tiny bit smaller than a standard US Decora faceplate. I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't mounted it about 2 feet from another wall switch. I was able to put a standard faceplate on, though, and now it looks just like any other light switch.

Very convenient way to add a light switch where there is no wiring using Z-Wave.
I have standardized my automation using Z-Wave. I wanted to add a 2-way switch in two locations in my cottage and I decided to give this a try. It was SUPER easy to setup. In one location in a hall I just stuck it. To the wall. In the other I bought a 2 gang wall plate and mounted this under it next to an existing switch. I added it to my smartthings hub and then programed the click actions. It was up and working in minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to find that you can program double, triple etc clicks. This such a great device. The oy small drawback is that it runs on small coin sized lithium batteries but for the convenience it is worth the price of replacing the batteries every once in a while. Love this switch!

Excellent Product -- works seamlessly with Homeseer HS3
This switch is easily included to your ZWave network via Homeseer (HS3 in my case) and its a simple matter to spawn events and/or control devices based on input from the switch. You can trigger things based on the number of taps (one to five on either side of the paddle switch); you can also trigger events based on holding either side of the button down. (You can also trigger an event when the button is released...but I am not using this feature as it implies to me that you'd always trigger 2 things...the initial hold down, AND the release). Regardless, its great to have this kind of simple control of Zwave devices without having to use some of the cumbersome remotes that are available.

Working great! great customer support.
This product was great until the main chip unsoldered and fell down. Could probably be repaired if I can find a local shop with air station and flux. Contacted Zooz, very quick turn around for getting the product replaced up and running again. Will buy again.

Great and versatile Z-wave emote switch
It works well and follows Zwave specifications and can be programmed with advanced parameters from Home Assistant. My only complaint is that there is about a 0.5s delay after you press the button where it waits for a double/triple press, and only then does it transmit, so this means the switch always has a 500-700ms second lag from pressing it to the lights coming on. This bothers my guests who aren't expecting it and they end up pressing the button several times. If only there was a way to disable the double/triple press scene behavior and just transmit immediately on the first button press it would be perfect.

Great SmartThings compatible switch - can be used like a remote or like a regular switch
I bought one a year ago, and then I bought three more since. These things are awesome. I have used these with SmartThings to control lights and other things super easily. The setup with SmartThings is easy enough - not much different than other zigbee and z-wave devices. The one I bought a year ago still has battery life - so the battery seems to last a long time - and uses a super common button cell battery type. I REALLY love the fact that I can put it on the wall, but, also, whenever I want to, remove the magnetically attached switch and use it anywhere in my room or house. SUPER CONVENIENT - both to install and use. Definitely good value for the cost
