Monoprice 2-way Carbon Fiber In-Wall Surround Speaker - Dual 5.25 Inch (Single) Vari-Angled With Paintable Grille - Alpha Series Black

I use these as the side surrounds in a 5.4.1 setup. They're powered by an Onkyo receiver and they blend very well with my Polk Reserve R500/R300 front soundstage. My 4 in-ceiling speakers are also from Monoprice. I can't speak to how they sound as front left/right speakers. Mine are only ever employed for surround sound. They work very well for that. As the sound pans around the room, these speakers blend seamlessly with the rest of my setup. I believe I have them crossed over at 100 or 120hz. There isn't much appreciable output below 80hz and I use an SVS, so this wasn't a big concern. Build quality seems decent. The drivers look good. The carbon weave of the drivers looks quality. I use the aluminum grill covers on mine but the speakers would look equally good uncovered. I would definitely recommend these to someone looking for a step-up from a generic in-wall speaker. As good or better than major manufacturer's in wall offerings. And at a much more reasonable cost.

When I decided to finish this wall, I needed to come up with an idea for doing in wall speakers that wouldn't disrupt the flow of the textured panels. The panels have some depth to them so trimming out an in wall would have been difficult. I found these and they fit the bill perfectly, I had room on both sides as well as the top. The speakers themselves have an adjustable angle and allowed me to position them perfectly, sound quality wise I am happy, they may not be the best out there but the price also matches what you get. I would say for most people this is more than they could ask for. My wife and kids think its amazing so I am happy. The first comment I get from all of my friends is, YOU PUT THOSE IN WRONG THEY ARE FACING EACH OTHER. I then pull a grill off and show them. Would surly buy again, well I did only I used the other version that is not adjustable in my bedroom home theatre in the 6.5" version.

Wow!!! the sound quality and build quality exceed all expectations I replaced my 300 dollar polks with these and they literally blow them out of the water. My wife loves the new modern look with the edgless grills as do I. But the sound quality is amazing I disconnected my 2 definitive subs and these speakers carried the bass beautifully. I played some live concert music and the music was live and vibrant. I honeslty can’t get over how amazing these are for the price point. I highly recommend!!!

Installed as front ceiling speakers replacing downward facing round speakers. Relatively Easy install. Once broken-in the speakers sound great and fill the sound space perfectly. Work well as either ATMOS high speakers or as additional front speakers in stereo or surround configurations. Very pleased with purchase.

These are listed as 100W but that’s peak, they are really 50W. I really like the adjustability of these speakers and bought them as Front Surrounds / Atmos for my TV. Installing speakers in the wall was not an option for me since there was a sheer wall behind, and I wanted to make sure I can upgrade the TV in the future without obstructing it. Only cons are adjustability, wish they would drop lower also the mesh cover/screen is a pain to install and remove. Overall great buy for the price tho.

I don’t think this is designed to fit in a standard in-wall depth. This speaker is too “thick” to fit in most in-walls. Please check or measure the depth of your in-wall space before buying.

The engineering leaves something to be desired. The binding posts are push-type, which is fine except the way they’re positioned makes it a real chore to get the wires into them. Also the mounting ears jumped out of their housing when the screws were tightened. We discovered that the screws all needed to be run in first, that is, tighten each one and then back it out before putting the speaker in the wall. Cosmetically they look nice, although they’re large, 10x14 and 6” deep. That depth may be a problem in a standard framed wall, where you’ll be 2” short on cavity depth. Sound is fine. I’m using them as surrounds but they seem pretty robust with good range and clarity. For the money they’re a good value.

These speakers sound really good. I would say they are a good all-around speaker. I use them in my office, connected to a computer and I listen to voice calls, music, movies, video, etc. and I am very happy with the quality. Bass response is nice and the highs are clean. To power the speakers, I chose this receiver: Pyle PFA330BT - 90 Watt Bluetooth Wireless Streaming Stereo Mini Power Amplifier - Microphone, RCA and 3.5mm Aux Inputs Installation was very easy and straightforward, and the included templates for the wall cut-out worked great. One word of caution though. If you are purchasing these for in-wall installation on an interior wall that has standard 2x4 construction, they are too deep and require a minimum depth of 6.2 inches.

Well constructed, easy installation, quality woofer, tweeter, and crossover components. Speakers have a huge sound stage handle a ton of power with out distortion. The adjustable tweeter is and magnetic gill is a plus. Very fast shipping in Canada 5 out of 5 stars.

❤️ Loved About It -- adjusting to just the right angle should satisfy EVERYONE. I wish all in-wall speakers allowed for this for even the baffles. 👎 Not so hot -- the girth is quite intimidating. This is definitely a ceiling mount. 5.83" minimum, folks, so if you're planning on building out a portion of your side-wall, this is definitely meant for the ceiling. But what's the flaws when you can adjust the angle to blast you proper.

Ordered a pair of 5,25 in speakers. Although they look great, the sound was quit bad. Sent a message to the seller to know if I did something right, but never had an answer. Not recomended
