How do I fill the tray without having the water leak to the bottom before placing it into the fridge?

The whole thing, including the space under the blue tray is supposed to be full of water - that is how it works. There is a demo video on YouTube and our website - look up ClearlyFrozen.

I am having an issue where the water leaks out between the silicone and liner, so the ice cube tray does not fill all the way. What am I doing wrong?

I fill up the liner tray with water to about the point where the silicone cube tray just touches the water in the liner when I insert it. Then fill up the silicone cube slots slowly until each is just about at the top. I haven't had an issue with the silicone tray staying full. In the end, you will have water continuously from the bottom of the liner to the top of the silicone cube tray. Mine takes 20-21 hours to freeze the cubes in the silicone with just slight freezing in the liner.
