I've been using Liqui Moly on several BMWs and it works great - always. Engine runs much smoother and happier, especially after fresh oil. Not losing any performance after couple thousand miles. Tried various different brands but this one always seem to perform better. Engine also runs quieter and I do not have to top it off as the engine does not lose oil, so overall less consumption. Really, great product.

Liqui Moly Top Tec 6600 0w-20 is one of the few BMW LL-17Fe+ approved oils outside of Castrol and BMW branded oil - actually "approved", not "recommended for" BMW LL-17Fe+. The Castrol version is harder to source. And BMW branded is overpriced. Personally, if I can get a genuinely BMW approved oil for a reasonable price, and it's a reputed brand like Liqui Moly, I'll use it. But I'm not going to overpay. So long as Amazon keeps the price competitive, I'll use Liqui Moly. You get a tad more oil because at 5 liters (5.28 quarts) - instead of the competition that is 5 quart jugs. I felt like there may have been a tad more oil consumption using Liqui Moly over Castrol, but it could be my imagination. They both move from MAX to slightly below MAX after 4-5k miles.

If you drive a higher-end European car, using a high-quality oil is a must, and Liqui Moly is truly top tier in my opinion. It’s been a great match for my vehicle. One thing I really appreciate is the built-in pouring spout, something I haven’t seen on most other oil bottles. It makes oil changes much cleaner and helps prevent spills. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than other brands, but the peace of mind and the long-term protection it provides for the engine make it absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.
