probably THE best learning book/tool out there for basic Hydraulics. costs a little more than others but you get a little more. every illustration is in COLOR and shows the workings of Hydraulic components in a way that black-white can not. For understanding how the oil passes through valves, pumps and others, this is the best teaching aid I have seen in Book form. If you are going to teach others or just want to learn how Hydraulics work. This book is the best. It has the same information as others, but shows it in a better way so that you can understand how things work, I think quicker.

This book come in almost perfect condition. It appeared that it had never even been open. The price was good too. The only way it could have been better is if it came with some sort of hard case to keep the book corners from bending in a backpack. There are actually a few important typos and missing information in the book (from final editing). But the book is a very good one.

This Manual is good for any engineering students or engineers seeking to learn insight of hydraulic systems and circuits control. Needless to mention that this book should reads; if used for engineers; in parallel with a specialised engineering book in fluid power design... Mastering hydraulic systems from engineering perspective require reading manufacturer's application manuals, design handbooks, and understanding simulation software. Therefore, I rate this manual five stars.

After looking for ages for a decent hydraulics book I bough this book based on the reviews left here before me. It's a brilliant book with very high quality coloured images highlighting pressures and returns, etc. along with good explanations. Thanks Eaton!

I am a forklift mechanic and wanted a book to really learn how hydraulics work and what makes a hydraulic circuit. I wanted to get deeper than just pumps, cylinders and hoses without needing an engineering degree to understand the information. This book accomplished that with easy to read text and easy to understand diagrams. Very complete and very well edited a must have for anyone in the hydraulic field. I have been in the forklift field for over 15 years and each time I read this book I think I learn something new. I think it is great and would recommend it to everyone.

An up to date print of the Long Time Vickers Bible of Hydraulics. It is an industry standard in the teaching and use of hydraulics. Highly recommend to anybody that works with Hydraulics in the Mobile or Industrial fields.

It is complete Hydraulics manual

I have an old paerback version of this book, but I wanted a second copy for the office. My hope was to find more on hydrostati c drives, which was mentioned in the listing, but I was disappointed to find little more than what I already had. This is still a great reference book for hydraulics.
