Used these bobbers with a 5 and 7 year old in a boat and on a dock. Gramma and grandpa got hit a couple of times but no hooks. They work great! Highly recommend.

Great product for kids to fish with live bait. I’ve used them for years now with my two boys. I would highly recommend re-tying both end of the line as the knots they come with slip easily, I use higher quality line when doing so.

Perfect for teaching your 4 year old how to fish. As long as you tie the line directly to the black ring you won't have an issue. Using terminal tackle or clips or swivels will not allow these to work as the weight of those are more than the attached weighted hook that comes with these. First two cast my 4 year old made and landed two small panfish. Perfect. Also the hook is about as safe as you can get.

The bobbers are designed with a leader of line with a pre-tied weighted jig which any form of bait can be attached. When the bobber stop is reeled to the tip of the rod the hook is concealed in the bobber base, this reduces accidental hook injuries during casting. When the bobber lands on the water the weighted jig sinks to level of the bobber stop. A good ingenious design for those learning to fish, or with any disabilities where casting might be a concern.
