Just got the Autel MX808S scanner and I’m really happy with it! My buddy had the regular MX808, which was cool, but I needed the EVAP solenoid activation, and the S model does that no problem. It’s way easier to use than those phone apps with a dongle—those can be such a pain. The bidirectional stuff is awesome, lets me test things directly, which is super helpful. Also, the auto-VIN read is a nice touch, saves me some hassle. WiFi for updates, hard-wired for car connection - I purposely wanted that vs bluetooth. IOne year of updated is fine, and the tool will still work after the year. I would only need to update if I purchase a new vehicle which is expected, and acceptable. Btw, the lightning deal made it a ridiculously good bargain. Overall, it’s a solid tool, works great, and I’m stoked with the purchase!

Absolutely love my new scanner! Easy to use, well built, and It can perform so many more functions than my basic blue driver scanner, plus some extra testing features. I was able to use this to set the camshaft timing on my truck, and with advanced scanning and live diagnostics found out that I had a wiring issue which was not letting pcm read the sensor. 1000% worth the buy, a mechanic alone would have charged me more than the scanner costs, and I have a solid scanner that is compatible with all my cars!

Very good professional scanner. Great for narrowing down problems in diagnostics. Reads codes, has service options, software updates are free for a year with purchase. Very accurate diagnostic device. Connects to WiFi and compatible with a huge variety of vehicles. Rechargeable battery last substantially.

This item is amazing. Exactly what I needed. I was skeptical because of the price but this item is worth it. I’m a major DIY’er. I keep cars until they turn to dust. This unit helped me isolate a defective PCM on my Scion and fix an ABS code on my F-150. I can also (finally) program a key on the Explorer and when the camera comes in I can finally scope the cylinders on my Dad’s van. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

You might get a scanner that is registered to a previous owner but after contacting the seller they will reset it in a couple days and should work like new
