I have a full and long beard big beard. I occasionally trim on my cheeks, and very occasionally on my neck under my beard, although that's not generally seen as the beard is of the length. I was looking for a tiny straight razor for fine work around the nose, and getting it all clean lined and looking squared away everywhere. This product is absolutely hands down perfect. If you do not know how to shave, then likely no razor product is good for your hands. Just the basics. You apply hot water. I do trim work, so I just hit it with the finger. The residual oil in my face just from having a hydrated beard is sufficient. If you apply oil to your beard product to your beard, you probably don't need anything here due to residuals. No need to lather up or anything. So after setting up the fairly lubricated hair with the hot water dab, you throw the clean razor in the hot water stream. Finally simply use minimal pressure to do the shave with regular rinses in the hot water. The lightest touch is the right touch. More little strokes and touches. You should not be hurting yourself at all! Super thick hairs here, so take my word on that. Just take your time, keep it hot, minimally lubricated, and apply lightest action. You can back strop this mini razor on your pants or something, but It's really not necessary after several shaves. If the blade get's too much junk on it, simply clean it without cutting yourself with dish soap or something handy. Eventually some back strops will give it more mileage, but these little mini straight razors are set up and optimal for a while. You can get more mileage than the manufacturer intended if you just care for your blade. There are some tiny "guards/standoffs" along the blade. So they help make for a more pleasant shave. Not quite what you would see in a straight razor, but perfect for a modern disposable. You have to use your brain when shaving. Just take your time and use your head. You don't take massive strokes with this, you etch like a sculptor. It's an excellent package here. Could I shave my whole face off? Absolutely, but that's not what this is for, it will have a finite life, and is not sharpenable in the same way as a traditional straight razor. I know for a fact that I could literally shave my entire beard off with a fresh one of these, lubrication and hot water without making a single scratch to my face, and literally zero pain. I have blade skills though. I'd recommend a larger blade if that's what you wanted to do, but this little guy is just perfect for the fine work.

UPDATE: Revising my earlier one star rating to four stars. If you use a soap or shaving cream, these do work relatively well. You can’t use them dry *at all* like you might with a regular safety razor for a quick touch up. These are sharp and I keep cutting my face thanks to my poor technique. OLD REVIEW: These things are terrible. Quite possibly the worst product I’ve ever purchased on Amazon and I’ve bought a ridiculous amount of products. Just buy a straight razor. Skip this packaged trash.

I thought I could use these blades to get a super smooth shave. I ended up cutting myself almost without even shaving they are so sharp. I touched the blade to my face and then yelped in pain. I tried using the shaver again and again I cut myself. I told myself I have to almost have the blade exactly horizontal with my face. I tried that and yet again I cut myself. I decided to just stop before I ended up getting any more cuts. These blades are wicked, wicked sharp. I don’t even want to get these blades inches from my face. They are like light sabers, which in the wrong hands can definitely send one to the hospital. Seriously.

These little razors are excellent. Convenient, disposable, SHARP, and a little twinge of good feeling from buying an American product.

I know these things take some pactice. But no. This blade was thick. Weirdly thick. I expected a better blade lime in my razor. The blade was scalloped! Either I missed that in the photo or whatever, but that made the blade really odd. I was lucky enough not to slice myself, but the lack of sharpness still made it so I had to use more force than I should have. Thus I have an abrasion under my nose where it is just raw skin. But the hiar was not even shaved away. To sum it up, this did not remove the hair but left me with a bit of a recovery from the raw skin.

I bought this mostly to trim my mustache just below nose. I wanted a straight mustache-line with no hair stubble left behind. Well this thing does exactly that! VERY IMPRESSED on how sharp the blades are! Instructions indicated it was for about 4 uses. Well, after using these the last few weeks I can tell you they are correct! After about 4-5 uses I will notice some scraping of my skin causing some slight bleeding. This was surprising as I clean the blade thoroughly and even apply some oil to prevent it from getting dull and rusting - but it still will nick me after the 4th use! Also, I wanted to mention that if you are going to use these super-sharp blades I have found that they work best with shaving oil (use Johnson's baby oil - it's cheaper and works great!) Wash face with soap and warmest water - then apply oil to area you will shave. If you use regular shaving cream/gel or shaving butter those will not not let the blade slide safely - you will get cut! Wish they made a package with about 20 of these instead of just 5!
